I spent wonderful seven days with Mike Tyson in Las Vegas. This is our fourth meeting, but this time was the best. I hope that we will meet next time in B&H. I'm working on bringing Tyson to visit B&H. He knows a lot about our country.
With these words, began an exclusive interview for "Dnevni Avaz". Bosnian actor Mirsad Solaković, was hanging out for seven days in Las Vegas with the famous world boxer, where he was his guest at the spectacle between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
Great friendship
Solaković is little known to B&H public. He casted in the film directed by Mujo Hrinice "I'm from Krajina, country of chestnuts", but in Ireland and Bollywood had several notable roles.

We wanted to know how was your first encounter with Mike Tyson, with whom you were introduced by Irish actor and Mirsad's great friend Joe Iggen.
-We met in England three years ago. I was with my brother Jasmin. To me Mike appeared arrogant, and I, as a "proud" Krajisnik, did not pay too much attention to him. Later, I was in the same company in which was the famous actor from India, Amir Khan, Mike asked him about me: "Who is that guy?" When they told him I was from Bosnia, he invited me to come to his table and said to me in Bosnian language: "My name is Mike, I'm glad to meet you." And so started our friendship - says Solaković.
Solaković says that Tyson googled a little bit about him and learned that he had a number of successful roles in India and in the UK.
- When I told him that war stopped us, that I am a victim of the war and I started to build an acting career, he immediately accepted me. He told me that he lost his father when he was 12, and his mother died when he was 13. About B&H he knows very much, he is familiar with all the suffering, especially of us, Bosniaks, and points out that in Islam he found his peace - says Solaković, who is a close friend of the actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Talking about Bosnia and Herzegovina, Solaković says Tyson mentioned two names - football player Edin Dzeko and director Emir Kusturica.
- I was really surprised how much Tyson knew about our country. Now I'm working to bring him to visit B&H. I am planning to bring him through the project monodrama "The boy who said nothing," in which I want to include as many countries as possible and people from the jet set world. Tyson is just one of them and I will do my best to bring him to visit my Kozarac, my B&H - says Solaković, to whom big support in Las Vegas gave big Tyson's rival James Tillis, with whom Mike fought in 1986.
Sincere Đurić
Solaković says that he often comes to B&H, and has an appartment in Sarajevo. When asked why he had not played in more of our films, he answered with a smile:
- My friend, director Nenad Đurić, with whom I meet regularly for a coffee when I come to Sarajevo, once told me: "Mirsad, you speak Bosnian like a redneck, and English like a king, Hollywood is your next station." When I started my acting career, I knew that I would have a big career.

Mirsad Solaković is 37 years old. He was expelled from Kozarac, and he came to England in 1992, and obtained a master's degree in acting. He produced monodrama in English "The boy who said nothing," in which he talks about his life in Kozarac. He has appeared in dozens of short films in Bollywood.
