On the occasion of the terrorist attack in Zvornik, media statements were given by Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community Husein Ef. Kavazović, former vice president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirsad Kebo and professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FIN) Esad Durakovic.

 The question of safety

Reis Kavazović was the guest of the show "Pravda" with Bećiragić Sanjin on TV1 talking about the first attack on the police station in Zvornik, he said that it was "an event that shook us all and that it once again raised the question of our security issues that are present in B&H since the nineties. "

- But sometimes I'm afraid that we are getting used to the events that we have in Bosnia. Since the war, there is a lot of murders that took place, and also among the returnee community, and now we see the three cases that were for me very symptomatic - the attack on the police station in Bugojno, the attack on the US Embassy in Sarajevo and the attack on the police station in Zvornik. These are difficult moments- said Kavazović.

When asked "how to explain to public that what Ibrić did has nothing to do with religion, nation, God", Kavazović said that it is easy to explain to those who want to comprehend that as terrorism, and "we see that it is already qualified as terrorism, some say that terrorism is what has a political background. " He concluded that "Muslims must fight against extremism in their own ranks and it is definitely an indisputable matter".

In addition to security's authorities, who need to act, it is necessary that IZ makes an impact on awareness of traditional Bosnian Muslims. Do not express sympathy to Wahhabi community and do not let them make new recruits, said academician Esad Durakovic on the show "Pravda" on TV1.

The former vice president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirsad Kebo believes that the leading party SDA and its president, Bakir Izetbegovic, do not have strength to fight against radicalism since part of SDA is very much involved with bringing of Islamist's radicalists in B&H.

- The current structure of SDA has no power in this fight, because some of them are involved in bringing radical Islamists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They verbally and practically create a very strong structure that faith and loyalty interprete to the people in a radical way - said Kebo for Srna.

Ties with radicals

He warned that many of the political representatives of Bosnik people are linked to radical Islamist circles.

- If any of Bosniks, who want welfare for his country, criticize radical Islam, immediately is seen as a traitor, which is incredible - said Kebo, who is a former official of SDA.

He argues that with the story of traitors of Bosniak people, politicians stifle freedom of thought.

He noted that the arrival of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sarajevo, on the eve of the Congress of SDA, is promotion of "personality and regimes that stifle any freedom."

Danger of Wahhabism

- Years ago, I warned of the danger of Wahhabism. I am convinced, although I have no hard evidence that the installation of Wahhabism among the Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are traditionally cosmopolitan, tolerant people and thanks to that they managed to survive in this area, is an international project. Even though the Wahabis are not aware of it, it is directed against the interests of Bosniaks, and thus against the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Durakovic.
