Russia today has handed over an 18th-century icon to B&H Embassy in Moscow, which B&H Presidency member Milorad Dodik presented to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, according to Interfax.

- In agreement with the donor, the icon was handed over to the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Moscow on December 23rd. At the same time, it was recommended to the partners to use the available legal mechanisms to clarify all the circumstances of this case, including the origin of the mentioned artifact - they pointed out in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, the Embassy of Ukraine in B&H sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a request to return the icon to Kiev that Dodik gave to Lavrov.
