A strong earthquake hit Croatia, the epicenter of the magnitude 6.2 earthquake was near Petrinja, but it was strongly felt throughout Croatia.

The first scenes from Petrinja are terrible, half of the city is destroyed. Screams are heard, there are injured and dead.

At least 20 people were injured in Sisak, two of them seriously.

One child was killed in Petrinja, confirmed Mayor Darinko Dumbović. It was a 12-year-old girl.

A large number of buildings were damaged, and rescuers are searching for survivors. For now, there is no more information about the injured and dead.
