The Tuzla Cantonal Court has handed down a final verdict in the case against former Vice President of the House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament, Vesna Švancer (49) from Zenica, for the criminal offense of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses committed in conjunction with criminal offenses of abuse of office and authority and fraud and sentenced her to a single term of imprisonment of two years and one month.

Also, Švancer has been banned from performing any official activity or duty in representative and executive bodies, public institutions or enterprises in B&H for a period of two years, and she has been stripped of the proceeds of crime in the amount of about 11,500 KM with an order to pay back about 5,000 KM of damages to one of the injured parties.

The Tuzla Cantonal Court quashed the first-instance verdict of the Municipal Court in Tuzla, which previously sentenced her to a single prison sentence of two years and six months with a ban on performing official duties for 10 years, the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Tuzla Canton announced today.
