The Women's Network of B&H expresses concern over the unsystematic and ad-hoc crisis management related to the stay of people on the move (migrants, refugees and asylum seekers) in B&H.

-We believe that the situation has reached the peak of the security and humanitarian crisis in B&H and that the rights of both B&H citizens and migrants are seriously endangered. We ask the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to urgently approach a planned and systematic solution to the migrant crisis in B&H, with full respect for the human rights of all of us- the association emphasized in the announcement.

Due to the recent events in the Una-Sana Canton regarding the accommodation of migrants in reception centers, the Women's Network of B&H notes the unacceptable ad-hoc approach of the state competent authorities in migration management and demands an urgent change of approach.

According to the association, the most worrying thing is the creation of an atmosphere of fear and hatred, which is placed as a real situation on the ground. They consider the media, which sensationally run after individual negative cases, to be especially responsible, while stories about solidarity, support and efforts of B&H citizens are ignored and not reported to the public.
