Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo Brigadier General Eric Folkestad and Head of the Office of Defense Cooperation at the US Embassy in B&H Major Taib Grozdanić handed over a valuable donation to the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić" in Bihać today.

-I am extremely glad that NATO is able to support the staff of the hospital in Bihać, the staff that is on the front line of the fight against COVID. When our members and partners ask for our help, NATO is there with its resources and capabilities of 30 member countries to help our friends solve problems and overcome security challenges- said General Folkestad.

Major Grozdanić pointed out that today's donation is one in a series of donations of humanitarian aid in the fight against COVID-19, which the United States, as a NATO ally, has been donating throughout B&H since the beginning of the pandemic.

-These donations show that the Alliance will always stand by its partner, Bosnia and Herzegovina in the most difficult times- said Grozdanić.

This donation will help medical staff provide the best possible protection to B&H citizens in these challenging times.

As it was said, the NATO Alliance will continue to provide active support to Bosnia and Herzegovina even in difficult times such as these.
