The Ministry of Civil Affairs received a notification from the GAVI Secretariat today stating that the delivery of coronavirus vaccines to B&H will begin in mid-February.

According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the letter states, among other things: "We are very happy to share with you a letter from the Director of COVAX, which contains the latest information on the distribution of vaccines for B&H through the COVAX mechanism. This letter refers to a dedicated distribution created directly for B&H ".

- The letter also emphasizes gratitude for all the effort that the Ministry of Civil Affairs has continuously invested in order for vaccines to reach B&H. At the moment, this is only the first allocation for B&H. These are vaccines that have received the necessary approval from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and which have been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) - the Ministry of Civil Affairs announced.

The number of doses of vaccine produced by "BioNTech" - "Pfizer" that B&H will receive in mid-February is 23,400 doses, while the number of doses of vaccine "AstraZeneca" / "SKBIO" that B&H will receive in mid or late February is from 153,600 to 259,200 doses.
