Wizz Air announces opening of a new base in Sarajevo

Wizz Air announced today the opening of its second base in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

It has also been announced that an Airbus A320 aircraft will be based at the Sarajevo International Airport in May 2021.

In addition to establishing a new base, Wizz Air has announced the launch of nine new routes from Sarajevo to cities in seven countries from May 2021. Airbus A320 will operate flights on nine new routes - Brussels Charleroi, Copenhagen, Dortmund, Eindhoven, Gothenburg, London Luton, Memmingen, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (Euroairport) and Paris Beauvais with more than 250,000 seats on flights from Sarajevo in 2021.

Speaking at today's press conference, Andras Rado, Senior Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said that, after eight years of successful business in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he is glad to announce another B&H base in Sarajevo, because he sees the potential and demand for cheap travel in the country.

Director of the Transport and Air Transport Services Sector of Sarajevo International Airport Nermin Zijadić said that they are very satisfied that the company Wizz Air decided to establish a base at this airport, and that he believes that this is news that will make many B&H citizens happy, both because of the favorable ticket prices and because of the destinations.
