In the area of Tuzla Canton last year, officers of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of Tuzla Canton registered 12,524 migrants who did not have identification documents or a certificate of intent to apply for asylum.

Amra Kapidžić, the spokesperson for the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of the Tuzla Canton, stated this at today's press conference talking about the Report on the current situation regarding migrants in that canton for the period January-December 2020.

If these indicators are compared with the data from 2019, 1,800 more migrants were recorded.

-If we look by country of origin, most migrants in 2020 came from Pakistan 5,491 or 44 percent, then from Afghanistan 3,680 or 29 percent, Bangladesh and Morocco 6 percent, Algeria, Libya and Iran 2 percent each, Syria and Iraq 1 percent and other states 3 percent-.

According to the intensity of the arrival of migrants in the area of Tuzla Canton, the largest number was recorded during the summer months.
