Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić visited the Brčko District today on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the establishment of the District.

On that occasion, a member of the Presidency of B&H and the leader of the Democratic Front paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the killed soldiers of the 108th Infantry Brigade of the Croat Defense Council.

Komšić reminded that defining the status of Brčko was so far the only amendment to the Constitution of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stating that unlike the RS entity authorities, the FB&H authorities have neglected the strategic importance of the Brčko District and that such practice must change.

Komšić also met with the mayor of the Brčko District, Esed Kadrić and discussed infrastructure projects in the District, with a special focus on the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade motorway.

He emphasized that in the process of procuring vaccines, the Brčko District will not be put aside and that he received guarantees from the Prime Minister of the Federation of B&H, Fadil Novalić in that regard.
