The Crisis Staff of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) declared a state of emergency and unanimously decided to bring back all the employees from vacations and suspend the use of vacations until further notice, it was announced on the official Facebook page of the director of KCUS, prof. dr. Sebija Izetbegović.

Prof. dr. Izetbegović, in a statement for the media yesterday, warned of the critical situation at KCUS.

-All capacities are filled with sick patients to the maximum. The entire old surgery building is being used just for COVID-19 cases. The Podhrastovi clinic is also filled to capacity. For almost a year we have been doing everything in our power, almost without any support. The staff is exhausted. It is a heavy psychological pressure to be among such seriously ill patients. We are working and will continue to do everything we can to save as many lives as possible, but the situation is really critical. More and more of our employees are getting sick- said the director of KCUS.
