A new ban on movement will take effect in the Sarajevo Canton from 9 PM to 5 AM. The movement ban will be in force for the next 15 days.

The decision on the ban on movement in that period was passed by the Government of the SC on Thursday due to the drastically worsened epidemiological situation in the Sarajevo Canton.

-Also for a period of 15 days, starting from March 20 at 5 AM, the operation of catering facilities in the Sarajevo Canton is prohibited, with the allowed work of delivery services for food and beverages- it is stated.

The conclusion on the ban on the operation of catering facilities covers the activities of restaurants and other facilities for the preparation and serving of food and beverages.

Prime Minister Edin Forto said that the Government of the SC, immediately after the adoption of the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Mitigation of Negative Economic Consequences (which will be before the Assembly next week) will prepare a package of assistance for the businesses whose operation has been hindered.

All employees involved in the implementation of measures and activities to address the COVID epidemic in the canton, employees whose work process takes place in shifts, intercity and international passenger transport, taxi services, as well as domestic truck drivers are exempted from the ban on movement in the SC and international transport.

Today, a conclusion was reached on extending the validity of all previous measures, according to the recommendations of the Crisis Staff.
