Successful cooperation between Ministries of Defense of B&H and Austria

B&H Deputy Defense Minister for Resource Management Mirko Okolić, with a delegation of the B&H Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces, visited the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt and the Austrian Ministry of Defense in Vienna yesterday, where he met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Austria Dieter Kandlhofer.

The officials discussed bilateral-defense cooperation, which was assessed as very successful and intensive, with constant contacts being established, which result in quality implementation of the annual cooperation program.

They especially emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of education of cadets from B&H and training of non-commissioned officers at the Theresian Military Academy, as well as cooperation in weapons and ammunition security programs and regional defense cooperation, the Ministry of Defense of B&H announced.

Deputy Minister Mirko Okolić expressed gratitude and satisfaction for the education of cadets from B&H at the prestigious Theresian Military Academy in the Republic of Austria, and expressed confidence that the cadets will make a special contribution to deepening friendly relations between B&H and the Republic of Austria.

On the same day, the delegation of the MoD and AF B&H also visited B&H cadets who are studying at the Theresian Military Academy, where they were received by the commander of the academy, Major General Karl Pronhagl. During the working meetings, Pronhagl introduced the delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of B&H to this respectable military academy, the basic education of officers, as well as the education of cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
