On the second day of the "Immediate Response 21" military exercise, members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States Armed Forces continued with initial training activities, which will expand into larger joint operations in the coming days.

This morning, members of the Light Infantry Battalion Group of the AF B&H joined the American soldiers in combat shooting with infantry weapons, who have been in that activity since Monday. The goal of combat shooting is to test their ability to use weapons in combat conditions.

During that time, a helicopter unit of the US Army 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, based at the Dubrave barracks and airport near Tuzla, is conducting training flights, related to transport of persons and medical evacuation by air. At the moment, there are four UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters in Dubrave, and it is possible that their number will increase further as the intensity of the exercise increases. In addition to members of the 5th Infantry Brigade of the AF B&H, the support of this unit is also provided with the staff of the Tuzla International Airport.

Commander of the American air force in Dubrave, Major David Preczewski, said they are very happy that they are cooperating with members of the B&H Armed Forces and that they are extremely grateful to the local staff for their help.

-The country is absolutely beautiful and we can’t wait for joint activities in Manjača and Glamoč- added Preczewski, announced the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of B&H.
