The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs has undertaken operational activities aimed at controlling the movement and stay of migrants in the city of Bihać at four locations: Žegarsko polje, Debeljača, a location near the Cantonal Hospital and the Jedinstvo football stadium, where the migrants gathered and stayed in makeshift accommodation.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs stated that the inspectors of the Service found 255 migrants at the mentioned locations, mostly citizens of Pakistan and Afghanistan, and they were relocated, accommodated and taken care of in the temporary reception center Lipa.

Currently, medical examination, identification and registration activities are being carried out, as well as accommodation in the preventive isolation part of the temporary reception center Lipa.

The activities were carried out in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Una-Sana Canton, and with the support of the medical team of the humanitarian organization SOS Bihać.

On this occasion, a certain number of unaccompanied minors were found, of which the Center for Social Work of the City of Bihać was immediately informed in order to initiate procedures for determining guardianship and their further accommodation and care.
