Matthew Palmer to arrive in B&H, meeting with numerous officials

The US State Department Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer will arrive on Saturday, July 3, to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, FENA learns from diplomatic sources.

Numerous meetings of the US envoy with B&H officials are planned, including a meeting with B&H Presidency Chairman and members Milorad Dodik, Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić.

President of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) of B&H, Dragan Čović, previously announced the possibility of the arrival of officials from the European and American administration in order to discuss changes in the election legislation in B&H.

-On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, we will meet with the highest representatives of the international community, who will come to B&H to complete the work- said Čović.

Palmer has previously expressed U.S. support for changes to electoral legislation that must include a partial amendment to the Constitution to implement the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights and improve the integrity of the electoral process.
