The court hearing on the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H to order a one-month detention for the arrested Osman Mehmedagić Osmica, the director of ISA, has ended.

The hearing in the Court of B&H started at 8:30 AM and ended five minutes ago, as the "Avaz" journalist reports from the scene.

During the hearing, the prosecution stated that the day before Osmica's arrest, ISA member and Mehmedagić's friend Muhamed Pekić contacted a SC MUP police officer to make sure that his knowledge and the director general's knowledge were correct, that Mehmedagić would be arrested.

Prosecutor Oleg Čavka said that the act of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H was sent to the SC Ministry of the Interior on Monday, July 12th, and that on that day Mehmedagić did not stay at his home address, but at a secret location, which officials learned during a conversation with his wife Amel Šehović.

Today, Mehmedagić's defense requested that he be released, stating that he was arrested illegally.

We remind you that the director of the ISA was arrested the day before yesterday, according to the order of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, by members of the SC MUP. According to the official statement from the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, Mehmedagić is charged with criminal offenses of abuse of position or authority, forgery of documents and money laundering, and custody was requested for fear that the suspect would repeat the crime, influence witnesses and hide evidence, and that the release could lead to public disturbance.

Mehmedagić is suspected of forging a diploma from the American University in (AU) B&H, which is why his friend Denis Prcić, the owner of AUB&H, was recently arrested. This investigation lasted for a full two years, but the Prosecution has only now come to solid evidence.

It is suspected that, on the basis of a fake diploma, he received a salary in ISA and illegally acquired property gain in excess of 100,000 KM. He then handed over the forged diploma to the Commission for Supervision of the Work of the ISA and marked it "secret". The investigation of the Prosecutor's Office established that Mehmedagić was never a student of this higher education institution.

Osmica is suspected of committing the crime of money laundering, because it is very controversial with what money he bought and renovated two houses in the Sarajevo neighborhood Aneks, in the reconstruction of which, allegedly, close to one million marks were invested.
