HJPC's double standards: What is happening with disciplinary decision in the case of Ranko Debevec, President of the Court of B&H

The first instance disciplinary commission of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of B&H (HJPC) has not yet made a decision on the disciplinary lawsuit of the UDT against Ranko Debevec, the President of the Court of B&H.

Who was in a hurry for Tadić

Last week, the HJPC BiH told "Avaz" that the decision is in the drafting phase and should be made at the end of this week and then delivered to the parties in the procedure.

The Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor (UDT) filed a lawsuit against Debevec on April 2 this year. With that report, he was charged with inappropriate and intentional contact with Osman Mehmedagić Osmica, director of ISA, for putting pressure on the Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H Vedrana Mijović and hiding information in his annual financial report, ie that he owns real estate in Spain.

It is interesting that the HJPC, in cases of disciplinary cases, when it comes to the Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić and the President of the Court of B&H, obviously has double standards.

Namely, last week, the HJPC B&H issued a decision to remove Tadić from the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, more precisely that a disciplinary violation had been proven against her. It is a procedure in which there is a right of appeal.

However, in both of these cases the closing arguments were held in two days. In the case against Tadić on July 12, and Debevec on July 13. However, the HJPC has so far only made a decision against Tadić, but still not Debevec. The question is what they are waiting for and why the decision has not already been made and announced.

Dual identity

According to unofficial information that "Avaz" has, there is a lot of pressure on the members of the First Instance Disciplinary Commission for Judges in the case against Debevec to pass an acquittal, although the evidence of the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office is more than enough to suspend and dismiss him immediately.

First of all, Debevec hid the property in Spain for 14 years, and did not report it in the property records, as well as the dual identity and citizenship of Spain in the name of Ranko Kaveson.
