At today's session, the Mostar City Council issued an unanimous decision to award the charter "Honorable Citizens of Mostar" to US Ambassador to B&H Eric Nelson and Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina Johann Sattler.

As stated in the explanation, this decision was made due to their role in the negotiations on changes to the B&H Election Law, which refer to the election rules for the City of Mostar, which led to Mostar's local elections after eight years of political blockade.

Plaques of honorary citizens of Mostar will be presented to Nelson and Sattler at a solemn session of the City Council.
