Djibouti received more coronavirus vaccines on Saturday as the small nation of Horn of Africa continues its vaccination campaign.

Health minister Ahmed Robleh Abdilleh received the first batch of 151,200 doses of Johnson&amp;Johnson vaccines at Djibouti International Airport.
US Ambassador to Djibouti Jonathan Pratt and several international partners attended the handover ceremony.
-Very quickly, we are going to put these vaccines at the disposal of the Djiboutian population to strengthen and intensify the COVID-19 vaccination campaign which is underway- Abdilleh said.
He thanked the US government for the acquisition of vaccines through COVAX, a global vaccine sharing facility.
In March, Djibouti received the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines made by Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinovac.
Bordering Somalia in the south and the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in the east, Djibouti has so far recorded 11,622 coronavirus cases, 155 deaths while 11,457 people recovered from the disease.
Nearly 26,800 doses have been given in the country and 8,810 people, or 0.9% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.
Djibouti launched a COVID-19 vaccination campaign on March 15 and President Ismail Omar Guelleh late June issued a decree announcing that it is a must to vaccinate the country's adult population and its foreign residents against the coronavirus.

The World Health Organization (WHO) chief said Friday he expects China to support the next phase of the scientific process to identify the origins of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the coronavirus, after the first part was criticized. 
Tedros Ghebreyesus addressed representatives of the health organization's member states on the origins of the virus that has wreaked havoc worldwide since early in 2020, killing millions and shutting down economies.
-Finding where this virus came from is essential not just for understanding how the pandemic started and preventing future outbreaks, but it's also important as an obligation to the families of the 4 million people who have lost someone they love, and the millions who have suffered- said Tedros.
-We expect China to support this next phase of the scientific process by sharing all relevant data in a spirit of transparency.-He said the WHO expects all member states to support the scientific process "by refraining from politicizing it."
At the end of March, a WHO-led international scientific team delivered its report following a mission to China in January, in line with the World Health Assembly for a probe into the virus, said Tedros.
But some countries, including the US, were not satisfied with the report, and on May 26, US Health Minister Xavier Becerra called for a second phase study into the origins of the virus.
-Phase 2 of the COVID origins study must be launched with terms of reference that are transparent, science-based, and give international experts the independence to fully assess the source of the virus and the early days of the outbreak- said Becerra.
Tedros said Friday that the WHO knows that SARS-CoV-2 will not be the last new pathogen with pandemic potential.
-There will be more, and we will need to understand the origins of those pathogens too- he said.
Tedros said it is the view of the WHO that the world needs a more stable and predictable framework for studying the origins of new pathogens with epidemic or pandemic potential.
-Accordingly, I am pleased to announce that the Secretariat is establishing a permanent International Scientific Advisory Group for Origins of Novel Pathogens, or SAGO- he said.

At least 133 people have so far been killed in floods in western Germany, officials confirmed Saturday.

More than 90 people lost their lives in the hard-hit Ahrweiler district of the Rhineland-Palatinate state, the Koblenz Police Department said in a statement. The death toll is feared to rise.
It also reported 618 injuries due to floods.
In the neighboring North Rhine-Westphalia state, officials have confirmed 43 deaths.
Germany's worst floods in more than 200 years have swept away homes, caused widespread devastation in various towns and villages in the western regions.
The police statement also added that there was still no electricity in many places in the region and telephone lines were not working while streets remain closed.
The Turkish-Islamic Union of Religious Affairs (DITIB) launched a donation campaign for those affected by the flood disaster.

Meanwhile, the flooding has killed at least 27 people in Belgium thus far, according to local media.

Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, however, put the official death toll at 20 on Friday and said 19 individuals were missing, describing the situation as "the biggest disaster our country has ever seen."
The country will observe a "day of national mourning" on Tuesday.
The heavy rains stopped as of Friday in most of the eastern part of the country affected by the flooding.
While flooding and overflow risk still prevails for some rivers, municipalities started to examine the areas where water has receded.
Around 120 municipalities affected by the floods still have difficulty in reaching many people who are stranded in their homes.

A week of rain finally came to an end, but several communities across parts of Belgium were nervously watching as the river Meuse, which flows through the city of Liege in eastern Belgium, continued to rise and threatened to overflow.
In the town of Maaseik, on the Dutch border, the Meuse had risen beyond a retaining wall and was spilling past bags placed on top.
Several towns and villages were already submerged, including Pepinster near Liege, where around 10 houses partially or fully collapsed. Belgian media put the death toll at least 14 people, with a further four missing.

The crisis centre, which is coordinating rescue efforts together with regional authorities, said many roads were blocked or dangerous.

It said France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria and Italy had provided assistance and personnel, including rescuers, boats, helicopters and all-terrain vehicles.
More than 20,000 people in the southern region Wallonia were without electricity. Others lacked clean water. Thousands of residents have been evacuated from low-lying areas.
Large parts of the rail network in southern Belgium were unusable, with certain sections of track swept away. High-speed train services to Germany were also suspended, with disruption expected to continue into Saturday.

The highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19 accounts for 30% of new cases recorded in Senegal, the director of the Institute for Health Research, Epidemiological Surveillance and Training (IRESSEF) said Thursday. 

Amid the third wave of the pandemic, the Alpha variant has disappeared to make way for the predominant Delta variant, which "constitutes 30% of new infections," Souleymane Mboup said at a meeting of the National Epidemic Management Committee (CNGE) relayed by the local press.
According to Mboup, one third of new infections is due to this variant amid a rapid spread of the virus and increase in the number of cases.
Senegal registered 674 new cases Thursday after reporting a new daily record of 733 infections Wednesday.
The country is experiencing a significant rise in COVID infections, according to Health Minister Abdoulaye Sarr.

The country has registered a total of 48,270 cases, including 1,209 deaths, since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.

Villages and small towns in the western and southwestern areas of the country were cut off by floodwater and landslides that made roads impassable.
Authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate warned that they expected waters in the Rhine and Moselle rivers to swell with additional rainfall.
There have also been massive power outages as more than 200,000 households are without electricity.
Meanwhile, public transportation has been severely affected by the catastrophic situation as train and bus services have been canceled or disrupted.

Zimbabwe registered a record 86 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, the most in a single day since the beginning of the pandemic.

With 2,491 new cases, the overall caseload reached 78,872 cases, and 2,418 related deaths, the Health Ministry said.

As part of the EU’s continued support for healthcare institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to fight the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences, another set of deliveries took place over the past two weeks consisting of 35 ECG monitors and one PCR device. 

The donations were carried out as part of an EU-funded project worth 7.7 million euros aiming to provide health institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina with much needed medical equipment.
The ECG machines will be important for doctors investigating and treating heart conditions, while the PCR device will help fast sampling of Covid-19 tests.
While Covid-19 is primarily known as a disease which affects the lungs, it also has been shown to damage other organs, including the heart. As a result, healthcare institutions require a wide range of different equipment.
To this end, in cooperation with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) the EU has supplied hospitals and other medical facilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina with ventilators, X-ray machines, ultrasound devices and other medical equipment, including ECGs and PCR devices.
The value of the ECG monitors is BAM 232,750, while the PCR device is worth BAM 75,800. The 35 ECGs were provided to healthcare institutions in Mostar, Livno, Trebinje, Gradiška, Nova Bila, Travnik, Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, Zenica, Goražde, West Herzegovina Canton, Posavina Canton, Tuzla Canton and Brčko District of B&amp;H. 
Global cooperation and solidarity is crucial to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, ensure early access to vaccines, diagnostics and treatments everywhere, and start a sustainable global recovery. The EU is playing its part fully and has been leading the multilateral response. The EU, acting also under the Team Europe banner, which combines EU and individual member state actions, has mobilised a global recovery package to help its partners across the world, including B&amp;H, address the immediate health emergency and humanitarian needs, strengthen health systems and support the economic recovery and social protection.
Team Europe is also setting up a vaccine sharing mechanism and has started to provide some initial doses secured under the EU’s advance purchase agreements directly to partner countries.
In B&amp;H this has been enabled through an EU4Heath project worth 13.7 million euros, announced the EU Delegation to B&amp;H.&nbsp;&nbsp;

European Union donates 35 ECG monitors and PCR device

In the past 24 hours, 1,404 samples were registered with the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&amp;H, of which 15 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. 

New cases have been registered in Herzegovina-Neretva, Zenica-Doboj, Posavina and Sarajevo Canton.
A total of 734,084 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 134,192 individuals.
No deaths were reported in the Federation of B&amp;H in the past 24 hours. 
In Republic of Srpska, 131 laboratory samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed in one person.
Also, one death was reported, according to the RS Institute of Public Health. 
So far, 64,386 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the RS, and a total of 3,793 people who have been tested for the virus have died.
Today, 132 tests were processed in the Brčko District of B&amp;H. There were no new infections. No coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in the Brčko District of B&amp;H in the past 24 hours.&nbsp;

A hearing for the detention of Osman Mehmedagić Osmica, who is charged with abuse of official position, forgery of documents and money laundering, was held today before Tatjana Kosović, the judge for the preliminary procedure of the Court of B&amp;H.
Prosecutor Oleg Čavka stated that the suspicion that Mehmedagić committed criminal acts is confirmed by 214 documents.
- Mehmedagić used forged diplomas many times. He even marked them with a degree of secrecy in order to cover up the crimes. His educational path took place by enrolling in the Faculty of Economics in 2005 and canceling the student's transcript from the Faculty of Law, which he published in the official gazette. He then enrolled at American University. At the time he ran for director, he cites diplomas in his biography. In August 2019, the RS education inspector ordered the annulment of the diploma - said Čavka.
After that, Mehmedagić addressed the Faculty of Law.
- Mehmedagić first addressed the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo, with a request that the faculty recognizes his advanced (vocational-school) specialist's training as a higher education through procedure, but that request was rejected due to the lack of legally prescribed conditions for recognition of vocational school, as higher education - said Čavka.

<h2>Deleted student's name and added Mehmedagić's name</h2>

After that, he enrolled at the Faculty of Law of the University of Travnik in the locality of Kobiljača, Kiseljak municipality, where he enrolled in the third year of the Faculty of Law - the first cycle of studies.
- When it became certain that he would not obtain a law degree in time, he decided in agreement with Prcić to obtain a university degree, in a way that the owner of the American University in Tuzla, Denis Prcić, would issue him a diploma, although Mehmedagić never studied at that faculty. The findings of the graphology expert confirmed that the Index Register of the Faculty of Law in Tuzla was falsified by tearing the pages and entering the name of Osman Mehmedagić in place of student Damir Mujaković - Čavka described.
After that, Prcić removes all documents from the faculty from which it can be proven that Mehmedagić never studied at that faculty.
- When last year the Independent Commission for Supervision of ISA B&amp;H asked Mehmedagić for proof that he had the necessary qualifications to perform the duties of the General Director of ISA B&amp;H, he decided to submit a forged diploma from the American University in B&amp;H. He marked that diploma with the degree of secrecy "Confidential", forbade the forwarding of acts to other bodies and ordered in the sense of Article 65 of the Law on Protection of Classified Information of B&amp;H the return of the secret document of the ISA B&amp;H. However, that diploma was never included in Mehmedagić's personal file in ISA - says Čavka.

<h2> Security questionnaires are evidence</h2>

At that time, two more important documents were seized, security questionnaires, claims the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H.
- Persons who have access to classified information must first complete security questionnaires in order to obtain a security clearance. During the security clearance procedure in 2015, Mehmedagić did not state that he possessed a diploma of higher education from the American University in B&amp;H, and in the security clearance procedure from 2021, he did not show this diploma again - the prosecutor stated.
According to the prosecutor, that diploma was never found, because Prcić is hiding it.
- Mehmedagić owns an apartment in Miss Irbina Street, an apartment in Dobrinja, a house and another building in Trnovo. The house was sold to him by Šaćir Čedić, who was accused in the "Zadruga" case at the time. There is no evidence of transactions for the payment of that house, and Čedić stated that it was paid in cash on several occasions, and it cost 116,000 KM. Also, the purchase of an Audi Q5 for Mehmedagić's wife from Asim Sarajlić is disputable. It is an unfounded profit - claims Čavka.
Also, the prosecution established during the search that there were no registry books of the American University, and during the search of twovacation homes, servers, documents and CDs were found, which were handed over for expert examination.

Lawyer Senka Nožica said that the proposal did not describe Mehmadagić's abuse.
- This is a chase for political reasons. Our client has already been released once and for all, and because of that, someone from the Prosecutor's Office should have resigned. It is about completing the appointment of a new ISA leadership as soon as possible - says Nožica.
Prosecutor Čavka responded to the lawyer, saying that it was an insult and that he hopes that she has proof of what she is saying.
- My client was not in a secret location. He did not sleep at home, his wife may be worried about that. When the police called him, he immediately called and said that he would come in an hour just to get dressed and that's all - said Nožica.
