Prvi put u historiji ''Vogue'' na naslovnici objavio ženu s hidžabom

Prvi put u svojoj 102 dugoj historiji britanski list ''Vogue'' na naslovnici je objavio ženu koja nosi hidžab.

Na naslovnici ''Voguea'' nalazi se Halime Aden, zajedno s još osam žena.

Prvi broj ''Voguea'' izašao je daleke 1916. godine i ovo je prvi put da se na naslovnici renomiranog modnog magazina pojavi žena s hidžabom.

Osim Aden, na naslovnici se nalaze i: Adut Akeč, Radika Nair, Jun Jang Bae, Fareta, Fren Samers, Vitorija Sereti, Paloma Elseser i Selena Forest.

Inače, Aden je rođena u izbjegličkom logoru Kakuma u Keniji, baš kao i njena kolegica Adut Akeč.

"Yet as a new mood begins to take hold – one that will only enrich and enliven creativity in fashion – I also believe that the time has come for us to look forward. In short, it is a moment for Vogue to do what it has always done best: to offer a bold vision of what the future can – and should – look like." For the May issue, nine models each changing the face of the fashion industry in their own way are photographed by @CraigMcDeanStudio with styling by Enninful for the cover story.
