Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sifet Podžić spoke today with Johanna Strömquist, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the online meeting, Podžić expressed gratitude for the assistance provided so far by the Kingdom of Sweden to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He emphasized that after the withdrawal of the non-resident military attaché of the Kingdom of Sweden, bilateral cooperation stagnated, but also that the results so far are satisfactory.

He emphasized the importance of the integration of our country into NATO and the European Union (EU), which will contribute to lasting stability and peace in this area.

Ambassador Strömquist expressed satisfaction with the good cooperation between the two countries so far.

The seven-year plan of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden for the entire region, which refers to the issues of democratization of society, the rule of law and human rights, was also presented.
