Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković, following the information published in the media regarding the existence of an alleged "non-paper" document entitled "Western Balkans - a way forward", which contains proposals for redrawing of the borders in the Western Balkans, sent instructions to all diplomatic and consular missions of B&H.

As she reminded in the instruction, Bosnia and Herzegovina is an independent, internationally recognized and independent country, a member of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the OSCE and other international organizations, a state that has applied for membership in the European Union, as well as a partner country of NATO.

-Promoting the idea of changing the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina is contrary to democratic principles, human rights, relevant decisions and attitudes of the European Union institutions. Questioning the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the most serious violation not only of the Constitution of B&H but also of its international legal status and position- it is stated in the document, among other things.

It is necessary, as she stated, in all contacts with state authorities, as well as the highest officials of the institutions in which they are accredited, and in accordance with the foreign policy goals of B&H, clearly defined by the Presidency of B&H through the framework and guidelines for all relevant B&H institutions, oto actively continue to work on the protection and promotion of fundamental constitutional principles, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of B&H.

Such actions do not contribute to regional cooperation and stability, do not support the reconciliation process and the atmosphere of interstate respect, where major progress has been made and it is particularly detrimental to the interests of B&H citizens in the country and around the world, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of B&H.
