Fahrudin Radončić, president of SBB and founder of "Avaz", the largest media group in B&H, today posted an interesting status on the occasion of the death of Jacques Rogge, former president of the Olympic Committee.

You can read his full status below.

- Jacques Rogge, former president of the International Olympic Committee, has passed away. He performed this mega representative duty for more than a decade, from 2001 to 2013.

He was a friend of our country and sincerely advocated that Sarajevo once again becomes an Olympic city. During the visit, he did not hide that commitment at all. On the contrary.

For me personally, his statement at the time, concerning the completion of the construction of the current building "Radon Plaza" (the then administrative building of the company "Avaz") will remain unforgettable.

People who are very important in the world have recognized the domestic quality, knowledge, profession and beauty of new values. His statement was recorded in the monograph "Success of Builders" - wrote Fahrudin Radončić.

Jacques Rogge: Insisted that photos of the Avaz building be included in Sarajevo's application for the organization of the Olympic Games. Avaz

By the way, Jacques Rogge did not hide his enthusiasm during his visit to Sarajevo and the appearance of the then newly completed building of our newspaper house. During his visit to the capital of B&H, organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the XIV Winter Olympic Games, he, in his capacity as the president of the International Olympic Committee, pointed out that he noticed an extremely beautiful building at the very entrance to Sarajevo.

After hearing that it was not a facility belonging to one of the international organizations or institutions, but to the Bosnian newspaper "Avaz", he said that B&H has a future if something like that can be done by some of B&H firms. In the presence of high-ranking officials, he suggested to his hosts from the Olympic Committee of BiH that, along with the application for Sarajevo's candidacy for the organization of the Olympic Games, they must submit photos of the new "Avaz" building.
