Swedish Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Johanna Stromquist is on a two-day visit to the Una-Sana Canton (USC).

After staying in Bosanski Petrovac yesterday and at the location of the Reception Center "Lipa", today she met with representatives of the City Administration of Bihać and the Prime Minister of the USC Mustafa Ružnić.

- We have a really successful long-term cooperation with the City of Bihać and other cities and municipalities of the USC, when it comes to projects to strengthen local communities. Of course, we talked about that, but also about the current situation with migrants and refugees. Progress is evident in the complete process of dignified accommodation, treatment and enabling normal living conditions for these people. Now, the adequate engagement of the competent state institutions is very noticeable and we will continue to advocate for the fair distribution of this burden on the territory of the entire country - said Ambassador Stromquist.

Representatives of the City Administration of Bihać emphasized the importance of such support and cooperation from the Embassy of Sweden in our country.

- In the past few years, we have jointly implemented numerous projects of energy efficiency, economic development, as well as strengthening democracy and human rights. We currently have three projects in the implementation phase, and of course, we also talked about cooperation in the future. We cannot emphasize enough Sweden's engagement and assistance when it comes to the situation with migrants and refugees - said the advisor to the mayor of Bihać, Edin Moranjkić.
