Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić represents Bosnia and Herzegovina at the UN Climate Change Conference, which began today in Glasgow.

It is the largest such conference in recent decades, attended by more than 180 heads of state.

Chairman Komšić was welcomed by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, after which he attended a meeting of leaders who supported the declaration on forest protection.

After the official opening of the conference, Komšić is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings and then attend a gala dinner which will be attended by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, US President Joseph Biden, Prince William, and other world leaders.

B&H Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić's address to world leaders is scheduled for Tuesday morning, when he will have the opportunity to talk about Bosnia and Herzegovina and the problems we face in the energy transition, after which he will attend a separate meeting on the topic of limiting methane emissions.

The UN Conference, called COP26, is considered a historic event in the fight against climate change, which is expected to be attended by 25,000 delegates from around the world, said the Presidency of B&H.
