The trial of Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and others accused for the disputed procurement of 100 Chinese ventilators worth 10,530,000 KM continued today in the Court of B&H with the continuation of the testimony of Sanita Alagić, Assistant Director of FCPA and Head of the Sector for Financial Operations, Public Procurement and Warehousing.

Offer at the porter's lodge

During cross-examination, the witness said that they received many offers electronically for the purchase of ventilators and other medical equipment, but that they were not able to check every offer. According to her, an order was issued at the time to reduce contacts due to the epidemiological situation, and they already had sick colleagues.

Alagić emphasized that the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of B&H did not find any irregularities in the public procurement procedure, nor did it issue any violations to them.

Prosecutor Mirza Hukeljić presented the witness with a statement she gave during the investigation phase, in which she stated that the offer for ventilators was made by Fikret Hodžić himself. Alagić changed her statement today and said that this was not true and that the offer had reached the porter's lodge.

She asked for a break

During today's cross-examination, at one point Alagić requested a short break, and after the break, the members of the Trial Chamber also asked her a series of questions. One of them was whether the competent institutions were informed about the amendments to the contract on the purchase of ventilators, to which the witness answered negative.

The next hearing is scheduled for November 19.
