By secret ballot of 81 members of the Main Board: New SBB Presidency elected

Yesterday, at its first regular session, the Main Board of the Alliance for a Better Future of BiH (Savez za bolju budućnost BiH – SBB) elected the Presidency of SBB, which has 23 members. For the new Presidency, by secret ballot, 81 members of the Main Board voted, 79 were in favor, and one vote against and abstained.

The members of the SBB Presidency in the next four-year term will be: mr. Lejla Bakrač, B.Sc. political scientist Admir Čavka, B.Sc. Lawyer Vesko Drljača (Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH), B.Sc. ing. of Mechanical Engineering Nermin Džindić (Federal Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining), prof. dr. Edita Đapo (Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism and State Representative), doc. dr. med. sci. Bahrudin Hadžiefendić, Ph.D. Adnan Hozić, Ph.D. spec. Adnan Jupić, B.Sc. Lawyer Munib Jusufović (delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH), prof. dr. med. sci. Mirsad Kacila, M.Sc. Muradif Kanlić, Ph.D. Amer Kapo, graduate economist Redžo Kurbegović, B.Sc. lawyer Mujo Muratović, M.Sc. of Pharmachology Tea Mušić, prof. Sabina Nahodović, prof. dr. med. sci. Nabil Naser, B.Sc. ing. traffic Alma Pašić, M.Sc. Sanela Prašović, B.Sc. economist Edis Ramović, professor Amela Talić-Kasap, M.Sc. Meldina Ugarak and B.Sc. ing. architecture Mahir Žigić.

These are people who have significantly shown themselves in their professional and political activities. The SBB Presidency is tasked with implementing the Alliance's strategic goals, such as uncompromising preservation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its unstoppable Euro-Atlantic path, strengthening the economy, increasing jobs, building infrastructure, greater social care, stopping emigration from BiH, strengthening state institutions and the fight against systemic and all kinds of corruption, turning to clean technologies and greater environmental awareness, as well as the realization of other strategic congressional commitments.

The staff of the new SBB Presidency is a combination of experience and youth, regional representation and new faces in the party leadership. A high percentage of women are also represented, and almost half of the members are younger than 40. By selecting young cadres for key party functions, SBB remains persistent in rejuvenating the party cadre and giving a chance to a new generation of politicians, the SBB said in a statement.

There are now 18 new members in the Presidency, and five of them are from the previous convocation.

At the first constituent session of the SBB Presidency, which will be held in the middle of the week, in accordance with the party's Statute, five vice presidents will be elected.
