Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović sent a telegram of condolences over the death of Madeleine Albright.

- I received the news of the death of former Secretary of State of the United States Madeleine Albright with sadness. Ms. Albright was a proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina at a time when our country was having the hardest time.

We will never forget her fight for justice and the truth about the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will never forget her words "I am Sarajka", uttered in besieged Sarajevo, as well as her struggle to find out the truth about the genocide in Srebrenica.

With her death, our country was left without a great friend, and the United States without an exceptional diplomat. I sincerely sympathize with the family and friends of Ms. Albright - it is stated in the telegram of condolences.
