OSCE: Media outlets play a vital role in informing society. Avaz

The Facebook pages of "Dnevni avaz" were targeted by hackers in yesterday morning. The editors of "Dnevni avaz" reported a hacker attack on our media house to the SC Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Directorate.

The OSCE in Bosnia and Herzegovina reacted to this attack.

- Hacking websites and profiles on social networks, as well as blocking access to media content, is a violation of the right to freedom of expression and the right to freedom of access to information of public importance. Media outlets play a vital role in informing society about issues of public interest, and cyber attacks against them harm the relationship between the media and their readers and viewers.

We believe that Facebook will solve this issue in a timely manner and before any additional damage to the work of "Dnevni avaz" occurs. This type of criminal activity also further emphasizes the relevance of the OSCE's support for the adoption of action policies and the establishment of computer teams for the prevention and rapid response to cyber threats - the OSCE pointed out to the "Avaz's" portal.

We remind you that this is not the first time that "Avaz", the largest media group in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has come under attack.

Our readers are the wind behind us, and the numerous messages of support we have received from all over the world have strengthened us and given us the strength to continue exposing every anomaly for the benefit of society. Our only mission is to reveal the truth and we will not falter on that path.
