A baby was found by the stairs in Vrace neighborhood in Sarajevo around 11 a.m. today.

Fortunately, the Sarajevo policemen found the newborn alive, ant the baby was transferred to the Pediatric Clinic of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, where infant was kept.

According to "Avaz's" reporter from the scene, the child was found next to the stairs near the building in Derviša Numića Street.

The prosecutor of the SC Cantonal Prosecutor's Office was informed about everything, who ordered that an investigation be carried out on the spot and that all necessary measures and actions be taken to find the parents or the person who left the child, the SC Ministry of Interior told the "Avaz's" portal.

There is still no information about who left the newborn in this place and why.
