After the scandalous statement of Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, about how vaccines were not procured in time, so that citizens would not be "guinea pigs", on social networks you could see a lot of anger, sarcastic but also funny comments about the Prime Minister.
However, today, the whole situation seems to have been significantly legally taken seriously by the president of SBB and former Minister of Security of B&amp;H, Fahrudin Radončić.

- On the same day when a factory for the production of vaccines was officially opened in Serbia, and our citizens, angry and humiliated by their government, are waiting at the borders of that country to receive the vaccine there for free (and, in addition, spend their money and time on departure and return), followed by an explicit confession by FB&amp;H Prime Minister Fadil Novalić.
He was precise in front of the journalists when it comes to the obligations of the government, the last in Europe, to procure a life-saving vaccines for citizens:
"We didn't run." And we didn't were "guinea pigs". Some states have accepted this. Hungary, Serbia, Israel ... "- said the Prime Minister, explaining why the government in our country did not procure the necessary number of vaccines for mass immunization of the population.
(To the knowledge of the unfortunate Novalić, mass immunization was accepted and carried out in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, China and all secular countries of the world, and that saved hundreds of millions of its citizens). 
Due to the unnecessary deaths in the Federation and B&amp;H - and we are getting closer to the tragic figure of 10,000 lives lost - it can now be easily established that Novalić, as he publicly confirmed, was engaged in quackery.
Given that this comes from the Prime Minister, who also had a legal obligation to procure vaccines, and he never did so using various false promises, prosecutors need to determine whether this case was, as it was naively thought, an unprecedented incompetence of the authorities or, as Novalić publicly explained, to quackery. Which, consequently, costed people a huge number of deaths and permanent illnesses from the consequences of the coronavirus.
There is no doubt that Novalić should be held criminally responsible for quackery and abuse of official authority, resulting in a large number of deaths and serious illnesses.
Because, obviously, he consciously and for paramedical reasons and beliefs, he did not do his very important job of prime minister properly and responsibly - Radončić wrote.

Germany Friday said there are no plans for an Austrian-style “Islam map” following calls by a prominent German politician of Chancellor Angel Merkel’s Christian Democratic Party who voiced support for the controversial initiative.

Talking at a routine weekly government press conference in Berlin, German Interior Ministry spokesman Steve Alter said: “We know the media reports about the plans that exist in Austria. We consider this an Austrian matter. There are currently no comparable plans in Germany.”
-We are in constant and good contact with Muslims in Germany and their representatives and we have very good conversational relationships- Alter added.
A leading member of the parliamentary faction of the co-ruling Christian Democratic Union (CDU) said on Thursday Germany should also have a “political Islam map”.
Talking to the right-wing weekly Junge Freiheit newspaper, Hans-Juergen Irmer said: “The fight against political Islam is an important task. Such a card should also be available in Germany.”
Irmer was referring to the contentious initiative of Austrian Integration Minister Susanne Raab who last week launched the "National Map of Islam" with the names and locations of more than 620 mosques, associations and officials and their possible links abroad.
Many Muslims feel stigmatized and their security threatened by the publication of addresses and other details amid growing Islamophobia in Austria, especially in the wake of a deadly Islamist terror attack in Vienna last November.
Irmer reiterated his support for this anti-Muslim campaign of the Austrian government.
-Austria draws the right conclusions- emphasized Irmer. It is right and important to "gain knowledge, for example, who is sitting where and what functions he has.”
Such a card would complement the package of measures against “political Islamism” decided a few weeks ago by our (Christian Democratic) parliamentary group, Irmer said.
On Wednesday, Aiman Mazyek, the chairman of the German Central Council of Muslims, lashed out at Austria’s right-wing government for launching the “Islam map”, branding it "irresponsible."
-With battle cries like 'Political Islam' and such actions, anti-Muslim racists and religious extremists will be strengthened at the same time, while millions of Muslims are put under general suspicion- Mazyek told the WAZ newspaper.
-The loser of such irresponsible actions is democracy and the values of our free society in Europe- he added.
Austria's government has sought to defend the disputed "Islam map" which has been strongly condemned by the country's Muslim community and is also drawing mounting international criticism.
Meanwhile, the Vienna-based daily DER STANDARD reported on Thursday that the “Islamic map” has temporarily gone offline. No reason was given as to why this happened.

A top US infectious disease expert has called on China to reveal medical records of three researchers, which may provide vital clues on how coronavirus first emerged.

-I would like to see the medical records of the three people who are reported to have got sick in 2019. Did they really get sick, and if so, what did they get sick with?- Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told the Financial Times in an interview published Friday.
According to Fauci, the records could help define the origins of the virus. He also asked for the records of six miners who got sick after entering a bat cave years ago.
-It is entirely conceivable that the origins of Sars-Cov-2 was in that cave and either started spreading naturally or went through the lab- he said.
The US intelligence continues its investigation on reports that several scientists at Wuhan Institute of Virology laboratory had fallen in just before the virus was first detected in the city on Dec. 8, 2019.
Last week, President Joe Biden has directed the intelligence agencies to "redouble their efforts" to find the origin of the virus.
Noting that the CIA and other intelligence agencies couldn't reach a consensus on the matter yet, Biden said: "I have now asked the intelligence community to redouble their efforts to collect and analyze information that could bring us closer to a definitive conclusion."

Serbia is starting to produce Russia's Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, President Aleksandar Vučić said on Friday, the first European nation outside Russia and Belarus to take the step.

Vučić said he and Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin would watch via video link as the first vials are filled in Belgrade.
-In a few days you will have Serbian jabs that we will be able to offer to our citizens but also... around the world- he told journalists.
A similar project is planned with China's Sinopharm vaccine, Vučić added.
Four million Sputnik V jabs should be turned out over the next four to six months, officials have said.
The Russian jab has now been registered for use in more than 65 countries but has yet to be approved by the EU or US health authorities.
Russian officials said Friday a European review of Sputnik V was going "according to plan" and the jab may be approved in the coming months.
Serbia bought millions of vaccine doses from Russia, China and Western firms and made a lightning start to its inoculation programme, even offering jabs to foreigners at one stage.
Almost one third of its population have now received two doses. 
But since March, officials have struggled to get people into clinics, offering jabs in shopping centres and even giving cash and vouchers to those willing to be inoculated.

The trial of Bakir's Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and others in the "Ventilators" affair continued today in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to Novalić, the FB&amp;H Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević, the suspended director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FCPA) Fahrudin Solak and Fikret Hodžić, the owner of the company "Srebrena malina", are also accused.

Prosecutors Džermin Pašić and Mirza Hukeljić continued with the evidentiary proceedings, and during the hearing they presented a number of material pieces of evidence. 
Hukeljić presented a document from the FCPA with which he wants to prove that there was no expert body in this institution that would evaluate the quality of medical equipment that was ordered. Evidence included bank statements confirming money transactions for the purchase of ventilators.An invoice for 10.5 million KM from July 14 last year was presented to the court, stating that the payment was made in advance.

The Agency for medical products and medical devices and their inspectors also found that the ventilators were stored in a tent and kept on pallets without temperature control and other parameters, and found that the FCPA driver had taken the respirators from the airport without any supporting documentation.
Inspectors also determined that the FCPA tent "does not have the status of a customs warehouse". According to the inspector's report, no lighting or equipment for storing sensitive medical equipment was provided in that tent.
The prosecutor also showed SMS communication between Hasan Ganibegović, former Secretary of the FB&amp;H Government, and a certain Edvin Kučuković, who is one of the intermediaries for the procurement of medical equipment.
It was written in the message: "Please forward this to the Prime Minister. I want my conscience to be clear in these difficult times. Beware of the respirators you have procured. Patients die on these respirators because they have a lung rupture. I can procure a thousand pieces of these ventilators for the price of $9,000 - Kučuković wrote.

<h2>Hodžić wanted to buy another 300 ventilators</h2>

Ganibegović forwarded this SMS to Novalić on Viber.
The court received communication via messages from Fikret Hodžić and Dušan Nešić and Kristijan Marić, with whom he was negotiating the purchase of ventilators. These are intermediaries for the procurement of medical equipment from Montenegro and Croatia. A conversation via WhatsApp between Kristijan Marić and Sanja Lekić was also shown, in which it was written that Hodžić would "get another 300 after buying 100 ventilators".

<h2>Solak "nowhere" with insight into the case</h2>

During the hearing, the defense complained that the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H did not provide them with all the evidence. Prosecutors said that they were available for inspection at any time and that they had never refused such thing.
Solak's defense attorney, Marsela Bajramović, said that her client was suspended and that he has free time to go to the prosecutor's office for an inspection, but that he was allowed to do that once a week and that he was "nowhere with that".

The incomplete remains of at least five victims from the past war so far have been exhumed from a mass grave discovered at the Dobro Polje site in the Kalinovik municipality.

The exhumation at this extremely inaccessible and difficult terrain along the Bistrica River canyon began on Monday, and will continue next week due to the extremely extensive and complex search of the area, said the Institute for Missing Persons of B&amp;H.
The remains that have been found so far will be transferred to the Visoko town cemetery for further forensic and medical processing and identification through DNA analysis.
According to the information available to the Institute for Missing Persons of B&amp;H, it is assumed that these are victims of Bosniak nationality who disappeared in this area in the past war.
The exhumation procedure at this location is directly managed by the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H, and the process also involves employees of the Institute for Missing Persons of B&amp;H, anthropologists of the International Commission for Missing Persons, forensic experts, workers and mechanization, as well as the police from Foča and Kalinovik.
Representatives of the Missing Persons Task Force on behalf of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the UN International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Courts visited the exhumation site.
Today, the site was visited by a representative of the Swedish Embassy in B&amp;H, as well as the Deputy Head of the Western Balkans Program of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).

France unveiled Friday a colour-coded map laying out eased entry protocols for the summer travel season, with restrictions lifted for EU residents while visitors from Britain and the US will need a negative Covid test even if vaccinated.

Starting June 9, EU residents will no longer need a compelling reason to come to France, usually the world's top tourist destination, and only non-vaccinated visitors will have to provide a recent negative antigen or PCR test.
The eased rules also apply to seven countries deemed "green" -- Australia, South Korea, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand and Singapore.
The plan to start lifting border controls could be a boon for France's crucial tourism industry as the country emerges from its third coronavirus lockdown.
-We have to reconcile freedom of mobility with the need for security- Tourism Minister Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne said on BFM television.
-Nothing would be worse than to enter yet another Covid wave because we were not careful enough- he said. 
The news will be a relief to the tourism sector, which worried that coronavirus tests that are free in France but can cost 100 euros ($120) or more in some countries would deter foreign visitors.
From July 1, France will also recognise a European "health pass" proving inoculation against the coronavirus that authorises travel within the bloc, according to updated guidelines published by the government Friday.

-We're negotiating with them, and the goal is still to open up for North America, Canada and the United States, and parts of Africa- he said, adding that he hoped to have results in the coming weeks.

Green, orange or red: France eases summer travel rules

Russian officials said Friday a European review of the country's Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine is going "according to plan" and the jab may be approved in the coming months, local news agencies reported.

Sputnik V has been registered in more than 65 countries but has yet to be approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the United States' Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
-Everything is going according to plan- Health Minister Mikhail Murashko told journalists on the sidelines of the Saint Petersburg Economic forum.
-We haven't received any critical questions so I think the work is going to plan, we are waiting for results- Murashko said.
Kirill Dmitriyev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund that helped fund the development of the jab, said the "registration time depends on the EMA".
-A normal working process is underway, which we hope will not be politicised- Dmitriyev added.
Deputy health minister Sergei Glagolev said the vaccine may receive the approval of the EMA and of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the next few months. 
Moscow registered Sputnik -- named after the Soviet era satellite -- in August ahead of large-scale clinical trials. 
But trial results published in the respected The Lancet medical journal have said it is safe and with two doses is more than 90 percent effective in symptomatic cases.
The EMA launched a rolling review of the vaccine in March but several EU countries have already approved the jab.
Russia has registered four homegrown vaccines -- Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona, CoviVac and in May Sputnik Light. 
While Russia's domestic vaccination campaign started in early December ahead of most countries, the country has struggled to innoculate its citizens.
Polls show that many Russians are sceptical of coronavirus vaccines.

More than one million doses of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine donated by Japan arrived in Taiwan on Friday, as the island struggles to secure jabs and accuses China of interference.

The move stirred anger in Beijing, which views democratic and self-ruled Taiwan as its own territory and works to keep the island diplomatically isolated.
-We have received requests from various countries and areas for the provision of vaccines- Japanese foreign minister Toshimitsu Motegi told reporters in Tokyo.
-At this point, we have finished the arrangement for the request from Taiwan. And we will deliver free of charge 1.24 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines that have been produced in Japan.-Taiwan's foreign ministry welcomed the move, pointedly emphasising that Taipei and Tokyo "share the universal values of freedom and democracy".
Its health minister Chen Shih-chung later confirmed the jabs had arrived.
-This is the largest batch of vaccines we have received and I believe it will be very helpful for our overall pandemic prevention- he said.
Beijing accused Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) of "placing political manipulations above people's lives" by rejecting Chinese vaccines, according to the state-run Xinhua news agency.
President Tsai Ing-wen has accused China of having "interfered" with efforts to secure Pfizer doses, which are distributed in the Greater China region by a Shanghai-based pharmaceutical company.
Tsai said in televised remarks that her government will keep negotiating with countries to ensure sufficient and steady vaccine supplies. 
-It's not just us, all governments are fighting to get hold of vaccines. Due to Taiwan's very difficult international situation, there could still be variables before the vaccines are being loaded onto an airplane.-Beijing has stepped up military, diplomatic and economic pressure on Taipei since Tsai entered office five years ago, as she refuses to acknowledge its stance that the island is part of "one China".
Taiwan is currently locked out by China from the World Health Organization.
The donation comes as Taiwan battles a sudden surge of cases, after having one of the world's best pandemic responses.
Infections have jumped in recent weeks to more than 10,000, with 187 deaths.
Taiwan wants to roll out mass inoculations in the next few months by setting up thousands of community vaccination stations to administer one million shots weekly, but it is struggling to secure enough doses.
The island of 23.5 million has pre-order deals for around 30 million shots, but had received just 726,600 AstraZeneca doses and 150,000 Moderna shots before the Japanese donation.
Taiwan is also included in plans outlined by Washington this week to distribute 80 million doses globally.

With the dismissal of the celebrated B&amp;H actor and very successful manager Izudin Bajrović from the position of director of the National Theater Sarajevo, Konaković's government has shown that it does not care about smart, professional and honest staff.

Since Bajrović is one of the best actors of the B&amp;H theater, without any valid professional reason, he was dismissed solely because of politics. Also, when it comes to Bajrović, it is very unprincipled that the "trojka" in public says that the opportunity should be given to proven and professional staff, regardless of the political party to which they belong, and at the same time do the exact opposite and dismiss greats and proven experts from positions.There is no need to introduce Mr. Bajrović to the citizens of B&amp;H at all, but through his case the policy of the "trojka" should be pointed out, which does not allow such a man to continue performing the mandate for which he was legally elected.

In addition, it is very indicative that the "trojka" and its seven or eight independent followers brutally dismiss all staff proposed by SBB (among whom is a significant number of non-party figures), while at the same time SDA and DF directors remain in office without any problems.

A special question is why Bajrović was removed by a decision of the SC Government, and not the Management Board, which is not a legal procedure at all.

While in the SC Government, SBB gave positions to non-partisan personalities or individuals close to the NiP, as is the case with the director of the General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdullah Nakas ”, and we believe that it is a pity that the new government in SC abolishes such a practice of a society of equal chances.

The defense objected to the presentation of this communication, because in their view it was illegal evidence because the messages were not separated in a lawful manner and were "only pasted on a word document".
Also, prosecutor Hukeljić stated that at the time of signing the contract for the purchase of ventilators, neither "Srebrena malina" nor FCPA were entered in the register of wholesalers of medical equipment, so they could not legally procure these devices.At the last hearing held on May 19, prosecutor Mirza Hukeljić submitted material evidence, including the contract dated April 3, 2020 on the purchase of 100 ventilators between "Srebrena Malina" and the Federal Civil Protection Administration in the amount of 10.5 million KM. These are HCVE 003 ventilators that have never been purchased.
The trial is due to continue on June 16.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton is monitoring the media when it comes to the academic education of Sebija Izetbegović, director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), it was said in response to "Dnevni avaz" from this judicial institution.

Rector of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) prof. dr. Rifat Škrijelj told "Dnevni avaz" yesterday that he had received documentation from the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo related to the academic career of Dr. Sebije Izetbegović, but that it is incomplete.

Škrijelj asked the faculty for information about Izetbegović's postgraduate studies and for them to be submitted to him within eight days. However, as Škrijelj confirmed to us yesterday, he did not get everything he asked for, which is why he will ask for the data to be supplemented and new ones sent.
- I asked for information about the postgraduate study of prof. dr. Sebija Izetbegović and the documentation on the election to the title of assistant. Those were two things. I received an answer and certain documentation which is not complete and I ask them to provide me with a supplement to the answer and documentation. We are already preparing everything today because this is too serious topic to go public on the basis of documentation that is not complete – said Škrijelj for "Avaz"

However, their presence in Venice is proving no less controversial than it was before the pandemic, with two demonstrations planned for Saturday -- one in support of the cruise ship, one against.
Environmental protesters warn the large waves caused by the cruise ships are eroding the foundations of the buildings in Venice, which with its lagoon are designated a UNESCO heritage site.

Rector of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) prof. dr. Rifat Škrijelj confirmed today for "Dnevni avaz" that he received documentation from the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo related to the academic career of Dr. Sebija Izetbegović, director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), but he added that documentation is incomplete.

We remind you that it is still illogical how and when Sebija Izetbegović passed the first exam at the "postgraduate" study in Zagreb in 1993.
In her request in August 1994, she wrote the following to the Council for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies in Sarajevo:
"I enrolled postgraduate studies on March 2nd, 1993 at the University of Zagreb - Faculty of Medicine. All classes - lectures, practical work and consultations, as well as exams were conducted in English. Unfortunately, due to political circumstances, I had to leave Zagreb without passing four out of the 14 exams. Please allow me to take the remaining exams and write my master's thesis. "
However, the published „Zagreb“ student booklet reveals that Sebija Izetbegović, as she stated, enrolled in postgraduate studies on March 2nd, 1993, and already on March 19th, more precisely in 17 days, passed the first exam.
The real question is when and how Sebija Izetbegović attended classes in the semester, because then the classes lasted for two years. In addition, each semester had practical work that had to be done in order to take the exam.
To make things clearer, Sebija was not a registered student at the postgraduate study, which was confirmed to us by prof. Sanja Kupešić.

At today's session in Sarajevo, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted information on the epidemiological situation in the FB&amp;H on May 31, 2021, with proposed orders and recommendations of the Crisis Staff of the FB&amp;H Ministry of Health.

The orders and recommendations were issued with a validity period of 14 days, starting from June 3, 2021.
Given the declining trend in the number of patients with COVID-19, the Government accepted the proposal of the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health to increase the number of people who can gather indoors to 50 and outdoors to 100 people.
It will also be allowed to organize larger gatherings with one of the conditions: possession of a negative antigen or PCR test, not older than 48 hours, or a certificate of having recovered from COVID-19, not older than six months, or a certificate of completed vaccination.
It is allowed to hold congresses, conferences and other educational gatherings, which could be attended by up to 100 people, and if the gathering has more than 100 people, participants must meet one of the three conditions as for other large gatherings.
It is allowed to hold professional outdoor sports competitions in the presence of spectators, with conditions of using up to 30 percent of the stadium's capacity, and not more than 500 people per grandstand. People in the stands must wear masks, and when entering and leaving the stadium, it is mandatory to respect epidemiological measures, for which COVID attenants are in charge.
The cantonal governments and the staffs of the ministries of health are allowed to introduce more restrictive measures based on the assessment of the epidemiological situation, with regular notification of the FB&amp;H Crisis Staff.
The Government instructed the FB&amp;H Crisis Staff to review the complete epidemiological situation in the FB&amp;H before the 14-day deadline and make a risk assessment, in order to consider the possibility and need to change orders and recommendations and submit it to the FB&amp;H Government.
The information on the epidemiological situation states that at the level of the Federation of B&amp;H, the seven-day incidence is 14.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Currently, in the 21st week, all weekly indicators are in decline.
