The new High Representative in B&amp;H, Christian Schmidt, has arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the "Avaz" portal has learned.
Schmidt was taken over by members of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of B&amp;H (DKPT B&amp;H) a few minutes ago at the Ivanica border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
He is scheduled to arrive in Sarajevo in the evening. He arrived in B&amp;H from Dubrovnik in a private vehicle, after which the DKPT B&amp;H took him over. He will travel to Mostar first.
Schmidt formally takes office on Monday, August 2nd. Officially, he will take up the position on August 1st. We learn that the handover will be held on August 2nd in Sarajevo.
- If we want to lead BiH into the EU and transform it into a democratic country, we must not have a purely ethnic orientation, he said in an interview with DW before coming to B&amp;H.

The UK’s decision to keep quarantine measures for travelers from France and not for those coming from other EU countries is “incomprehensible,” a French official said on Thursday, calling for a review of the “discriminatory” move.

On Wednesday, the UK announced new health measures permitting exemption of quarantine upon arrival for vaccinated EU citizens and US nationals. However, passengers arriving from France will still have to quarantine for 10 days.
The UK has placed France on the Amber list due to the “persistent presence of cases of Beta variant’’ found on the French overseas territory of Reunion located in the Indian Ocean region.
Speaking to the LCI TV, Clement Beaune, the secretary of state for European Affairs, said the measures with regard to France “is excessive and incomprehensible” considering the quarantine exemption was granted for the rest of European countries and even the US.
Beaune said the UK’s decision was “scientifically unfounded” as it was taken with a view of Beta variant which originated in South Africa and "represents less than 5% of cases in France and is mainly in overseas territories."
He added that France did not want to enter a “health war” or retaliate for now and hoped the decision would be reviewed in a week.
France’s new updated travel guidelines have placed the UK on the orange list and vaccinated travelers have no restrictions to enter whereas unvaccinated travelers can only travel for compelling reasons after providing proof of a negative PCR or antigen test taken less than 24 hours before arrival.​​​​​​​

Esther Dingley, 37, had been walking on her own in the mountain range, which straddles the border of France and Spain, but had not been heard from since sending a WhatsApp message on November 22. 
She had driven to Spain from France at the end of October, leaving her partner Daniel Colegate behind. He later raised the alarm over her whereabouts, prompting a major search and rescue effort on both sides of the border.
On Wednesday, a source close to the investigation in France said remains had been found near Bagnères-de-Luchon, in the south of the country and sent for DNA analysis at a forensic laboratory in Toulouse.
-We are distraught to report that we have received DNA confirmation that one of the bones found last week belongs to Esther- Colegate and Dingley's mother Ria Bryant said in a statement released by the charity LBT Global.
They said while they knew the prospect of her survival had been "tiny" that "with this confirmation that small hope has now faded". The family added the news had been "devastating beyond words".
Only a single bone belonging to Dingley had been recovered and there had been no sign of equipment or clothing in the immediate area despite a meticulous search, the statement from the overseas support organisation said.
Rescue teams will continue their search on foot and with drones to find signs of her equipment and understand the circumstances of her disappearance, which remain unknown, it added.
Dingley had planned to make a loop around the Salvaguardia peak, which stands at 2,738 metres (8,982 feet) above sea level, between Spain and where her vehicle was parked, according to investigators.
The BBC reported she and Colegate, who were partners for 20 years, had travelled around Europe in a camper van after leaving northeast England in 2014.
Colegate was house-sitting at Gascony vineyard while his girlfriend took their motor home on the journey to Spain.

Anyone entering Germany from abroad will have to take a Covid-19 test from Sunday unless they are fully vaccinated or have recovered from the disease, Health Minister Jens Spahn said Friday.

-All unvaccinated people entering Germany will have to be tested in future -- regardless of whether they come by plane, car or train- Spahn said in a statement.
The new rules, to be signed off by the cabinet on Friday, will apply to all travellers over 12 years old with the exception of cross-border commuters and those passing through in transit, according to a draft seen by AFP.
They will apply to travellers "regardless of where they have come from and the means of transport they use," Finance Minister Olaf Scholz told the Funke media group. 
Under current German rules, any unvaccinated person entering the country by plane must get tested, but those entering by road or rail must not unless they are coming from an area deemed high risk.
Those entering from so-called virus variant countries, such as Brazil and South Africa, must get tested even if they are vaccinated -- a rule set to remain unchanged according to the draft.
Police have said the rules will not be enforced through systematic border controls, but through random checks.
Regional leaders in Germany's border regions, especially Bavaria and Rhineland-Palatinate, had been calling in recent days for tighter travel measures.
Germany has seen low infection numbers over the summer compared to many of its European neighbours, but cases have been creeping up over the past few weeks, largely fuelled by the Delta variant.
The country recorded 2,454 new cases in the past 24 hours on Friday, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) health agency, and an incidence rate of 17 new cases per 100,000 people over the past seven days -- up from a low of 4.6 in early July.

Australia will reopen its borders and end lockdowns when 80 percent of the population is fully vaccinated, Prime Minister Scott Morrison revealed Friday, sketching a long road out of "Fortress Australia" virus restrictions.

A year-and-a-half after Australia cocooned itself off from the rest of the pandemic-ravaged world, Morrison unveiled a series of targets he said could begin to be reached by the end of the year.
In March 2020, Australia took the unprecedented step of almost entirely closing its borders to foreign visitors and banning its globetrotting citizens from leaving. 
Sixteen months and several lockdowns on, there are currently around six million Australians under stay-at-home orders -- most residing in Covid-hit Sydney -- as authorities battle to get back to "Covid zero."
Scarcely 14 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated, prompting growing anger. 
Hoping to give restriction-weary Australians some prospect of a return to normality, Morrison set out a series of targets for the gradual easing of restrictions.
The conservative prime minister indicated that when 70 percent of eligible adults have received two doses, vaccinated residents will have more freedom from domestic restrictions and a limited number of international students and economic visa holders will be allowed to enter the country.
-I believe we can get there by the end of the year- Morrison said, without setting a firm target date.

A coronavirus cluster that emerged in the Chinese city of Nanjing has now reached five provinces and Beijing, forcing lockdowns on hundreds of thousands of people as authorities scramble to stamp out the worst outbreak in months.

China has previously boasted of its success in snuffing out the pandemic within its borders after imposing the world's first virus lockdown in early 2020 as Covid-19 seeped out of Wuhan in the centre of the country.
But an outbreak this month driven by the fast-spreading Delta variant has thrown that record into jeopardy since it broke out at Nanjing airport in eastern Jiangsu province. 
The city reported a total of 184 local coronavirus cases Friday, after nine cleaners at Nanjing Lukou International Airport tested positive on July 20. 
At least 206 infections nationwide have been linked to the Nanjing cluster, which officials have confirmed as the highly transmissible Delta variant.
-It was discovered that these cleaners took part in cleaning the cabin of flight CA910 from Russia on July 10- said Nanjing health official Ding Jie.
Hundreds of thousands have been locked down in Jiangsu province, of which Nanjing is the capital, while the city has tested all 9.2 million residents twice. 
In Beijing's Changping district, where two locally transmitted cases have been found, 41,000 people in nine housing communities were placed under lockdown Thursday, according to city officials.
The infections are the first local cases reported in the capital in six months.
The outbreak is geographically the largest in several months, challenging China's aggressive containment efforts which have relied on mass testing, lockdowns and swift contact tracing.
China's top disciplinary watchdog has blamed Nanjing airport officials for "poor supervision and unprofessional management" including not separating cleaning staff who worked on international flights from those on domestic flights.

High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko, in his farewell message, emphasizes that he is leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina not completely happy, but grateful to many people of this country who have preserved humanity.

-I am leaving aware of my shortcomings and limitations, both my own and the institutions I represented, but sincerely grateful to so many people of this country, from politicians to ordinary people, who have kept humaneness alive. I am sorry that I will not leave behind an even stronger trace of an anti-warrior and an even stronger trace of a peacemaker. I tried to live, as they taught me, without hatred and with respect even for those who spare no fire and no judgement from their arsenals- he pointed out.
As he said, he came to B&amp;H a little over 12 years ago and was supposed to close down the OHR. In the first part of the message, he pointed out 'that no one can please everyone'. Proverbs, he says, are so popular because they hold eternal truth, even after many years.
-In the meantime, I have learned many other of your wisdoms, including the one that 'when children are well behaved, there is enough room for everyone, even in the smallest house'. Our common house is called Bosnia and Herzegovina and it really is not too small, and should not be small. There is room for everyone, if the children are well behaved. This common house must be founded on the sound foundations, genuine trust, good neighborly relations, solidarity and mutual respect- he said.
He emphasized many virtues that adorn the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina with humanity, generosity and bigheartedness, as rarely anywhere. With words of gratitude to Bosnians and Herzegovinians, Inzko promised 'that he too will keep returning'.
-People here are both physically beautiful, but also mentally very capable. So many have had difficult time succeeding here, and much easier outside of the country. I will also take with me one strange feeling of longing that many people here have, a deep longing for happiness and at the same time exceptional gratitude for small favors, for small steps forward in achieving wellbeing- said Inzko in his farewell speech, before leaving the post of High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the middle of next week, a hearing is scheduled in the Court of B&amp;H on the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H to extend the custody of the accused in the "Dženan Memić" case, Alisa and Zijad Mutap, police officers Hasan Dupovac and Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović, an employee of the Crystal Hotel in Ilidža.
It is a motion of the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H that was sent with the indictment.

The Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H charges the five with organized crime and preventing the discovery and proving the death of Dženan Memić, a young man who died on February 15, 2016, after severe injuries. It is suspected that they joined a criminal group organized to cover up evidence of the manner in which Memić received life-threatening injuries in Great Alley on Ildža, on February 8 of the same year.
The Indictment alleges that Ramić, Mutap, Dupovac, Barić and Ožegović concealed and faked evidence, and that the accused Mutap allegedly had contacts with several persons, including the accused, and committed illegal acts with them personally and in agreement, ie they together have committed illegal acts.
It is about unauthorized and without an order of the competent court seizure of evidence in the form of video surveillance footage, planting evidence, establishing acts that do not correspond to the facts, submitting fake evidence for expertise and obstructing and directing the investigation in the wrong direction.

Zambia has received a second batch of 151,200 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine from the US as part of a dose-sharing system through the UN COVAX facility.

Ministry of Health permanent secretary in charge of technical services, Kennedy Malama, said it is the second batch delivered in the space of one week.
-The government has placed a premium on COVID-19 vaccine mobilization and the 4.4 million doses procured by the government are expected in the country within this quarter- Malama said after viewing the arrival of the consignment aboard an Emirates Airlines flight at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in the capital, Lusaka.
The first batch contained a similar consignment, with the US Embassy in Zambia announcing that the US allocated to Zambia $28 million worth of support to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
Malama said the vaccine program had contributed greatly to case management as Zambia targeted a reduced positivity rate of less than 5% in daily cases recorded.
Apart from Johnson and Johnson, other vaccines, namely Sinopharm, AstraZeneca and Pfizer are also being administered to an eligible adult population of about 3.6 million.
He said the country had administered 118,083 full vaccination doses for the AstraZeneca jab, 19,673 for Johnson and Johnson and 6,899 for the first dose of Sinopharm, with 6,336 receiving the second dose of the Chinese allocated shot.
-For Zambia, vaccination for COVID-19 is voluntary but we urge members of the public to consider getting vaccinated as the vaccine induces immunity which reduces the chances of getting infected but more importantly getting severe disease and dying from COVID-19- he said.
Zambia’s number of confirmed cases recorded is 193,432, with 3,338 deaths and 183,957 recoveries.

Pfizer raised its revenue forecast from coronavirus vaccine sales to $33.5 billion for 2021, according to financial results statement released Wednesday.

The US pharmaceutical firm's previous estimates were $26 billion and $15 billion, made in May and February, respectively.
The revised projection in revenue from the BNT162b2 vaccine, which was developed with German partner BioNTech, reflects 2.1 billion doses that are expected to be delivered under contracts signed through mid-July, said the statement.
Pfizer's total revenue increased 92% to $18.98 billion in the second quarter, up from $9.86 billion during the same period last year.
The company said BNT162b2 contributed $7.8 billion in direct sales and alliance revenues.
Net income increased 59% to $5.56 billion, from $3.49 billion, year-over-year.
Pfizer stocks were up 2.9% to $43.24 around 11.26 a.m. on the New York Stock Exchange, just shy of its record of $43.35.

It is clear from the forensic - psychiatric findings of 3 March 2016, the reasoned findings of the KCUS doctor of 19 July 2016 and other medical documentation that Alisa Mutap, Dženan Memić's ex-girlfriend, was on the fateful day in Great Alley in Ilidža, when Dženan suffered injuries from which he died a day later, was conscious, oriented and communicative.

This is stated in the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H in the case "Zijad Mutap and others", which was confirmed by the State Court last week.
This means that Alisa Mutap did not have amnesia, as the SC Prosecutor's Office claimed for almost five and a half years, and that she had to remember all the details on the fateful day.
The indictment, which was submitted to "Avaz" from sources close to the Court, clearly shows that Alisa Mutap refused to state all "facts that were very familiar to her as an eyewitness."

- Although based on the provisions of Article 100 of the FB&amp;H Criminal Procedure Code, she was obliged to state all the facts and circumstances that were known to her, she knowingly concealed them, as well as facts that are crucial for determining the death of Dženan Memić and perpetrators - it is stated in the indictment, which, apart from Alisa Mutap, charges her father Zijad Mutap, police officers Hasan Dupovac and Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović, an employee of the Crystal Hotel in Ilidža, with concealing evidence and perpetrators by faking evidence and concealing facts known to them.

The indictment alleges that Alisa Mutap refused to do so, creating the illusion that she did not remember the specific event and that she had lost consciousness.
The opposite, however, follows from the medical records, where it is stated that she was conscious and communicative during the examination on the night of 8/9. February 2016 and the specialist finding of the KCUS from February 9, which are decisive facts for determining the manner and place of Dženan Memić's suffering - the indictment alleges.

<h2>What does the doctor's report say?</h2>

The evidence in the indictment, more precisely the doctor's finding from February 9, 2016, states that Alisa Mutap adequately answers the questions, which, according to the expert, excludes the possibility that the registered injury she had on her head could have caused amnesia.

The indictment alleges that these five, led by Zijad Mutap, without authorization and without an order from the competent court, seized evidence in the form of video surveillance footage, faked and planted evidence.
- They led the officials of the SC Ministry of the Interior to pass and sign acts that do not correspond to the established facts, submitted fake evidence to the experts, presenting them as real, and thus obstructed and directed the investigation in the wrong direction - it is stated.

The indictment, which was submitted to "Avaz" from sources close to the Court, clearly shows that Alisa Mutap refused to state all "facts that were very well known to her as an eyewitness"

At a session today, the Government of the Federation of B&amp;H took note on the information of the FB&amp;H Public Health Institute on the market research procedure, negotiations with vaccine manufacturers and/or authorized representatives for the purpose of procurement of coronavirus vaccines in the period from July 22, 2021 - July 28, 2021. 

The information states that final preparations are underway for the delivery of a total of 500,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine, under a Procurement Agreement concluded with China National Biotec Group Limited (CNBG) and the manufacturer Beijing Institute of Biological Products Co. Ltd (as suppliers) and Synopharm International Hong Kong Limited (as sellers).
Acting on the conclusion of July 26, 2021 by which the FB&amp;H Government accepted the donation of the Republic of Austria of 483,947 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, the Institute is taking all necessary activities to ensure the acceptance of this donation, which is expected in the next few weeks.
Today, the Institute also presented data on the current situation in the implementation of vaccination against COVID-19 in the Federation of B&amp;H. Until July 25, 2021, a total of 537,525 were distributed to the cantons, and 334,479 doses of vaccine were administered. Therefore, the cantons have another 203,046 doses of vaccines, the Press Service of the FB&amp;H Government announced.

Institute is also taking all necessary activities to ensure the acceptance of donation of 483,947 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from Republic of Austria
