The mayor of Bijeljina, Mićo Mićić, died of the effects of the coronavirus.

He tested positive for coronavirus in November, and due to the more severe clinical picture, he was transferred to the University Clinical Center of Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka.

Due to his deteriorating health, he was connected to a respirator in December.
