The "My Address Srebrenica" initiative received the full support from all pro-Bosnian parties today to boycott the upcoming repeat elections, which will be held in Srebrenica on Sunday, February 21st.

This is the conclusion from a meeting of representatives of pro-Bosnian parties with the leaders of the Initiative, which was held today at the BKC Srebrenica.

Democratic struggle

In addition to the members of the Initiative, the meeting was attended by B&H Presidency member and DF President Željko Komšić, SDA Vice President Edin Ramić, leaders of PDA Mirsad Kukić, SDP Nermin Nikšić, Party for B&H Amer Jerlagić, People and Justice Elmedin Konaković and representatives of the Municipal organization of SBB.

- We received maximum support from all political parties that were part of this gathering. We also received support in further activities in the democratic struggle for our people in Srebrenica. So, the decision is to boycott the next elections in Srebrenica, which are unfair for us and it is impossible to hold them - a member of the Initiative, Alija Tabaković, told reporters after the meeting.

As he said, an appeal with a temporary measure was submitted to the Constitutional Court of B&H today. The conclusion of all political parties that participated in the meeting today was that the Constitutional Court should react urgently about the issue of that temporary measure.

When asked by a journalist what Bosniak citizens in Srebrenica get from the elections, Tabaković said that the Initiative, based on the previous elections, along with political parties, received the support of 90 percent of the electorate.

- We made such a decision on behalf of these political parties. We will fight for each of our individuals. This discrimination has been present in Srebrenica for a long time - adds Tabaković.

Their own decision

The initiative "My Address Srebrenica", as he stated, sent an invitation to all its voters not to go to the polls on Sunday.

- Those who go to vote, it is their own decision and of course we will not be angry with such people, it is their right. The lists are the same, there are no new candidates. Our candidates have made a decision that they will not accept the mandate in this way - adds Tabaković.

Prior to the meeting, they visited the Potočari Memorial Center, where they paid tribute to the victims of genocide in Srebrenica which happened in July, 1995.
