As a NATO ally, we are pleased to see that the B&H Council of Ministers has established a Commission for Cooperation with NATO, stated the United States Embassy in B&H today.

As they point out, the Commission will enable B&H to more efficiently coordinate and implement the Reform Program.

The Reform Program process is an opportunity for B&H to identify its reform priorities and how it envisions allied assistance to achieve them.

These reforms range from defense modernization to better governance and the rule of law, and are complementary to B&H's European path.

The United States will continue to support reforms guided by the Reform Program process. NATO's focus in B&H is on a strong partnership and the door to membership remains open.

Any future decision to invite B&H to join the Alliance will be taken on the basis of consensus among all allies and within B&H's government.
