The temperature maximum measured for July at the Meteorological Station Sarajevo – Bjelave was exceeded on Wednesday, July 28.

The maximum air temperature was 38.5 degrees Celsius.

The previous absolute maximum is from twenty days ago, when the maximum temperature was 38.4 degrees.

Until this year, the highest temperature ever measured in July was 38.2 in 2000, announced the FB&H Hydrometeorological Institute of B&H.

Due to extremely high air temperatures throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, an orange meteorological alarm is on, which warns of extraordinary and dangerous weather conditions.
