Members of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton have not yet found the mother of the newborn who was left by the stairs in the Vrace neighborhood, on Derviša Numića Street, at around 11 AM yesterday, Mirza Hadžiabdić, spokesperson of MUP of Sarajevo Canton, confirmed to the "Avaz's" portal.

- Police officers of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton are taking all necessary measures and actions to find the parents or the person who left the child. The baby is currently in Pediatrics at KCUS, Hadžiabidić told for "Avaz".

Unofficially, we learn that it is suspected that the mother did not give birth in one of the hospitals in Sarajevo and that it is possible that the birth took place at home, which makes it difficult for the police to find the mother.

In addition, investigators are checking video surveillance footage of surrounding buildings that could record the person who left the girl.

In the meantime, the Center for Social Work of Canton Sarajevo will take care of the baby.
