Major police action in Sarajevo: Arrested former SIPA officer Fahrudin Gačanović and Admir Arnautović Šmrk

A police operation was carried out in Sarajevo last night by order of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, in which a former member of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and a current employee of the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, Fahrudin Gačanović, was arrested. In addition to Gačanović, Admir Arnautović Šmrk was also arrested.

Also, a search warrant was launched for Adnan Maglić, who was not found at his home address.

- Undertaking planned activities to clarify and document criminal offenses from Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Organized crime) in connection with Article 195 of the same law (Unauthorized traffic in narcotic drugs), police officers of the Police Department of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, under direct supervision the acting prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the previous night, carried out an operation with the aim of finding and depriving the persons who are connected with the execution of the mentioned criminal acts, namely:

A. A. born in 1980. in Sarajevo, where he resides, who was deprived of his liberty by the police officers of the Police Directorate, while A. M. who was born in 1985, an operational search was launched since he was not found at his residential address.

Also, F. G., a member of the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, was deprived of his liberty, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed a criminal offense under Article 237 of the Criminal Code of BiH (Breach of confidentiality of proceedings).

On the basis of the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, searches were carried out at three locations in the area of the Sarajevo Canton, during which items of criminal offenses were found and temporarily confiscated.

The persons deprived of their liberty have been placed in the official premises for the detention of persons deprived of their liberty of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, and the criminal investigation will continue, and A.M. is being searched for with the aim of locating, finding and depriving him of his liberty - said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of SC.

Admir Arnautović Šmrk, a previously convicted drug dealer, is one of the managers of the singers Jala Brat and Buba Corelli.
