The President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, said after the agreement between the coalition of the Eight and the parties gathered around the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) in BiH was signed today that they are firmly committed to working together and showing that it is possible to change the situation and the system and to have an executive power that will do what it has promised.

Interest of citizens

He added that the document entitled "Guidelines, principles and goals in the executive and legislative authorities for the period 2022 - 2026" has been agreed upon without controversies and misinformation, but in an open conversation and a good atmosphere.

- Now those who will be the bearers of the executive power on behalf of this coalition should start implementing this agreement - said Nikšić.

He pointed out that the coalition of the Eight is expanding day by day because people from other political parties recognize that something new is being done in the interest of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Nikšić stated that this agreement represents something new on the political scene of BiH because all its elements have been carefully weighed and the signatories firmly stand behind it.

Different views

He said that it is possible to have different views, but they have established a system in which they will openly discuss everything and come to a solution.

Nikšić underlined that the coalition is firmly determined to form the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of FBiH, as well as cantonal governments wherever possible, by the beginning of 2023.

In response to a journalist's question about the coalition at the state level, he said that it would be difficult to avoid the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), which is a reality that should be acknowledged.
