Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested yesterday the official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton (MUP SC), Josip Barić, who is connected to the "Dženan Memić" case.
Barić was arrested in Ilidža, where his property was searched by order of the Court and the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H.
After the criminal investigation in SIPA, he was handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H this morning, which was confirmed to us by Luka Miladinović, the spokesperson of SIPA. The Prosecution will decide on the measures today after being examined by the acting prosecutor Ćazim Hasanspahić.

SIPA officially said yesterday that the person arrested in Ilidža is suspected of having committed the organized crime, illegal mediation and assistance to the perpetrator after the crime was committed. On that occasion, SIPA also searched Barić's vehicle and temporarily confiscated his mobile phone, laptop and computer.
According to the information that "Avaz" has, the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H officially expanded the investigation in relation to Barić a few days ago, after all the evidence was gathered and witnesses were heard.
In this case, which was taken over from the SC Prosecutor's Office by the State Prosecutor's Office a few months ago, three months ago Zijad Mutap, the father of Alisa Mutap, the ex-girlfriend of the murdered Dženan Memić, with whom she was in Great Alley in Ilidža, and Hasan Dupovac, former head of the Traffic Accident Department of the KS Ministry of the Interior, were arrested.
The two of them are suspected of organized crime, ie covering up the murder of a young man. As for Barić, his name has been linked to the case for years. Barić was the police officer who first examined the only witness in the case, Alisa Mutap.

However, Barić twice described her statement in a completely different way, which took the investigation in a different direction. This was confirmed on several occasions by the family of the murdered young man.

What is indicative, Barić, who took a statement from Alisa, did not take all the evidence that would serve in the investigation. One of them is Alisas's bloody sweater.
- Barić did not exclude as evidence Alisa's sweater with traces of blood when he was in KUM. He had to, and he didn't. And why not, let the Prosecution investigate. Let him say that the doctor told him that Alisa, when she was at KUM, was communicative and aware. And that Dženan has no other injuries other than head injuries. Members of the Zvornik Border Police Unit prevented the smuggling of migrants with the help of the Special Team for the Prevention of Illegal Migration in the early morning hours on Friday in the Zvornik municipality, in the town of Kozluk.

Carrying out intensified operational activities aimed at controlling the movement and stay of foreigners in the Una-Sana Canton, Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, in cooperation with members of the Ministry of Interior of Una-Sana Canton found a total of 32 migrants in an abandoned devastated house in the settlement of Stari Grad, in Velika Kladuša.

This is a significant investment for the Podrinje Canton - Goražde, which entails a plan of the construction of a production hall in the industrial zone Vitkovići and the employment of 150 to 300 workers.
With the construction of the plant and the opening of the company in Goražde, the German investor is realizing the plan to expand production capacities in Europe, confirmed the representatives of this company at today's meeting with BPC Prime Minister Aida Obuća and the Economy Minister Mensad Arnaut.
-TVC Goražde will be part of a worldwide group that makes metal parts for medical beds and accessories. The production we want to establish here is being done in two places in China. 570 people are already working on a project like this. We want to transfer the complete production here to Goražde, which is fifty percent more than we produce today- said investor Klaus Bellingroth.
The new plant will cover 7,000 square meters with 12,000 square meters of production area, and German investors have announced that they are planning new production halls in Goražde in the next few years.
The company explained that the plan is to design and establish a modern and sustainable production plant with trained and experienced workers.
The BPC Prime Minister Aida Obuća emphasized that negotiations have been underway with a German investor for a long time.

In the past 24 hours, 2,495 samples were registered with the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&amp;H, of which 84 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. 

New cases have been registered in all cantons in the Federation of B&amp;H.

Hungary will allow restaurants and bars to reopen their outdoor terraces from Saturday as more than a third of the population has received at least one vaccine dose, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Friday.

-Now 3.5 million have been vaccinated, so from Saturday morning catering premises can open their outdoor areas- Orban said during his weekly radio address.
-There is a beer on a terrace waiting for me too- he said.
Orban added other services, such as hotels, theatres, cinemas, gyms, public baths, libraries and indoor dining, would be allowed to reopen once four million people have received at least one shot of vaccine -- expected by the middle of next week.
People will have to show a proof of immunity, he added. Restaurants and other services have been closed since November.
The central European country of 9.8 million people has carried out one of the fastest coronavirus vaccine rollouts in the EU thanks to its use of the Chinese Sinopharm and Russian Sputnik V jabs.

China has said it is willing to help India amid a devastating COVID-19 surge that saw the South Asian country post the world’s highest single-day case count on Thursday.

China 'willing' to help virus-ravaged India

As a measure to stem the spread of COVID-19, Turkey has announced a nationwide curfew starting Thursday evening until Monday morning.

The four-day curfew from 7 PM on April 22nd until 5 AM on April 26th will cover the National Sovereignty and Children's Day holiday as well as the weekend, according to a circular issued by the Interior Ministry.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, no large gatherings will be held to mark the national day, except for an official wreath-laying ceremony. Instead, some demonstrations and online events will be held.
Turkey on April 23 every year commemorates the first gathering of the Turkish Grand National Assembly which took place in 1920.
Also, every year on the day children perform in the country’s stadiums and streets.

Two young hikers were found dead Thursday on the erupting volcano of Piton de la Fournaise on France's Indian Ocean territory of Le Reunion, police said.

The hikers, both in their 20s, had set out on a walking trip on the volcano in the southeast of the island but were found dead in the volcano's main caldera, the hollow formed after magma erupts, a statement said.
The cause of death was not immediately clear.
The sight of the volcano, whose eruption began on April 10, has proved a major local attraction despite Covid-19 restrictions. 
The two had been due to meet their families on Wednesday at a car park next to the volcano but they never appeared at the meeting place, prompting the families to call the police. 
Accidents involving hikers on the volcano are relatively common but are rarely fatal.
One of these came in 2003, when a young man was burned to death after falling into a crevasse near a lava flow. The victim had wanted to photograph the eruption.
The Piton de la Fournaise, located in an uninhabited area in the southeast of the island, has erupted around 20 times over the last decade, and its violent bursts of activity often prompt stunning lava flows.

Germany is in talks with Russia to buy 30 million doses of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, said Saxony state premier Michael Kretschmer who discussed the issue with President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

-Germany is negotiating 3 x 10 million doses for June, July, August. The prerequisite for this is the swift EMA approval of the vaccine- Kretschmer wrote on Twitter. 
Kretschmer posted the tweet after meeting Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko as part of a visit to Moscow ostensibly focusing on cultural relations with Russia.
As part of the visit, he also discussed joint efforts to fight the virus in a phone call with Putin, the Kremlin said in a statement.
-Putin confirmed the readiness of the Russian side to cooperate with German partners to this end, in particular to organise deliveries and joint production of vaccines- it said. 
Germany sparked controversy in early April when it said it had started talks with Russia about purchasing doses of the Sputnik vaccine without waiting for coordinated EU action.
Health Minister Jens Spahn said Europe's biggest economy was seeking a "binding commitment on which amounts specifically could reach Germany after regulatory approval and when".
The negotiations come as the two countries are at loggerheads over issues including repeated Russian cyberattacks against the West, the Kremlin's treatment of opposition leader Alexei Navalny and escalating tensions on the Ukraine border.
Germany has until now coordinated its vaccine buying with the EU. 
Since inoculations began in late December, Germany has deployed vaccines produced by Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna.
A fourth, from Johnson &amp; Johnson, is expected to be rolled out across the bloc in the coming weeks.
The southern state of Bavaria and the eastern state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have already announced plans to pre-order doses of Sputnik. 
The EMA has launched a rolling review of the Sputnik jab, which could become the first non-Western coronavirus vaccine approved for use across the 27-nation bloc.

Pope Francis reaffirmed his desire to visit Lebanon in a meeting Thursday with prime minister-designate Saad Hariri, but the latter said it would only happen once a new government was formed.

During a private audience lasting around 30 minutes, the 84-year-old pontiff said he would like to visit Lebanon "as soon as the conditions are favourable", according to a Vatican statement.
He expressed his "closeness to the Lebanese people, who are experiencing a moment of great difficulty and uncertainty" and called upon "all political forces to urgently commit themselves to the benefit of the nation".
Hariri, a three-time premier selected in October to form a new government, told Lebanese media afterwards that the pope would visit "only after the formation of a government".
-That's a message for the Lebanese, that we must form a government, so that all the forces and all the people come together, so that we can take Lebanon forward with our friends- he said after the meeting, in comments broadcast on Lebanese television.
Pope Francis recently made a historic trip to Iraq, during which he repeated his desire to visit Lebanon.

Fake doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine were being sold in Mexico and Poland for as much as $2,500 a shot, the US drugmaker and an official confirmed. 

At a clinic in Mexico some 80 people received bogus vaccines, which appeared to have been physically harmless though offered no protection against the potentially deadly disease ravaging the country, a report in the Wall Street Journal said.
Mexico's government spokesman on Covid-19 Hugo Lopez-Gatell said "no product was found that could affect" the health of those scammed, adding several people had been arrested.
Lopez-Gatell said the false drugs were offered on social networks for up to $2,500 per unit and were detected by cyber police.
The vials were found in beer coolers and were initially identified by fabricated lot numbers and expiration dates, Mexican officials said.
Confiscated vials of bogus Covid vaccines in Poland contained a cosmetic substance, thought to be anti-wrinkle cream, the company said.
-We are cognizant that in this type of environment -- fueled by the ease and convenience of e-commerce and anonymity afforded by the internet -- there will be an increase in the prevalence of fraud, counterfeit and other illicit activity as it relates to vaccines and treatments for Covid-19- a Pfizer spokesperson told ABC News.
In February, health authorities in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon warned about "clandestine" sales of "alleged Covid vaccines" and urged people not to take them. 
In March, the World Health Organization also warned of "falsified" Pfizer vaccines found in Mexico and warned that the shots "may still be in circulation in the region."
Pfizer tested the bogus vials and found they did not contain the two-shot vaccine it developed with BioNTech.
Lev Kubiak, Pfizer's head of global security, said the desperate need and the shortfall in vaccines had led to the scams.
-We have a very limited supply, a supply that will increase as we ramp up and other companies enter the vaccine space. In the interim, there is a perfect opportunity for criminals- he told the Wall Street Journal.
Mexico is also examining a shipment of 6,000 doses of what is claimed to be the Russian vaccine Sputnik that were seized on a private plane headed for Honduras last month, the newspaper said.

Pfizer confirms fake vaccine shots on sale in Mexico, Poland

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović received today the Special Representative and Head of the European Union (EU) Mission to B&amp;H Johann Sattler.

During the talks on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Sattler reiterated the position of the EU institutions and member states to strongly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sattler informed Džaferović about the dynamic of vaccine delivery to B&amp;H through the EU, according to which in the first week of May, 80,000 vaccines should arrive to Bosnia and Herzegovina through the COVAX mechanism, as well as the first delivery of 214,000 vaccines provided through IPA funds.
The two officials expressed a common position that the focus of political action should be placed on the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as fulfilling the necessary reforms on the implementation of the 14 recommendations from the European Commission's Opinion on B&amp;H's membership in the European Union.

Head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative Ambassador Johann Sattler handed over today 200 oxygen bottles with accompanying equipment to the Otoka Health Center, which will be distributed to other health centers in the Sarajevo Canton, as part of EU support in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

This medical equipment, worth about 70,000 euros, consists of a ten-liter oxygen bottle, an oxygen reduction valve with a pressure flow meter and a humidifier with a patient mask.
The total value of medical equipment donated by the EU to the Sarajevo Canton so far is over 700,000 euros, the Press Service of the Sarajevo Canton said.
The procurement was coordinated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Sarajevo Canton Government.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the European Union has provided the necessary medical equipment throughout the country, including ventilators, X-rays, ultrasound and ECG devices, personal protective equipment and PCR tests, as part of all aid programs worth 7.76 million euros.

European Union donates 200 oxygen bottles to health centers

The Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), headed by General Director Sebija Izetbegović, wife of Bakir Izetbegović, SDA leader, gave the company "Erkona" from Sarajevo a contract for the supply of medical equipment, drugs and personal care products worth 288,144 marks, reveals "Daily avaz".

The price does not include VAT, and the contract published on the Public Procurement portal was signed on April 15th and is valid until October 15th this year.
Last year, this company procured 150,000 coronavirus tests for the needs of the FB&amp;H, under a contract with the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FCPA) and the FB&amp;H Government. For that part of the job, they were paid 4.5 million KM. However, it was later revealed that the intermediary in the business, as an importer, was "Sono Medical", because "Erkona" did not have the necessary documentation from the B&amp;H Medicines Agency.

It was reported in the media that this company is engaged in the import of furniture. But in the Register of Business Entities, it is stated that this company with the initial capital of 2,000 KM was established as a "company for production, services, domestic and foreign trade".
However, on the Public Procurement page, with the same data as in the Register of Business Entities (Paromlinska no. 33), it is written that the main activity of this company is "mediation in trade in machinery, industrial equipment, ships and aircraft".

Nowhere is the activity of procuring medical equipment or medicines mentioned. The director of this company is Boro Mioč, and the founder is Ertekin Kolašinac.

Last year, when the media revealed that this company participated in the suspicious procurement of 150,000 tests from South Korea, Mioč pointed out that this company was "registered for the sale of food and medicine control equipment, ie sophisticated equipment" and that they therefore applied to procure tests. However, officially, this business data is nowhere to be found.
It is interesting that the then director of FCPA, accused in the "Respirators" affair, Fahrudin Solak, could not even remember the name of the company that procured the tests for the Federation.

<h2>Solak could not remember the name of the company</h2>

Fahrudin Solak, director of FUCZ, told during the press conference which was held on April 8th last year that he does not remember from whom the tests were purchased. But a few days later, on April 15th, he stated that 150,000 tests were procured from the company "Erkona" from Sarajevo. It is interesting that SIPA and the Prosecutor's Office are still investigating the procurement of tests.
